Top Scorer: Danilo Jovanoich – Whitnall
Jovanovich possesses the pure talent and sheer dominance to take over any game or setting. The 6’6” lefty featured a balance between bully ball and finesse in his sophomore showcase, averaging 20.7 points a night on a mind-boggling 67 percent field goal percentage. He has the mechanics in place to be a serious outside threat, but for now, his shot chart shows mostly mid-range jumpers and finishes around the rim.
Top Rebounder:
Leon Bond

Wauwatosa East | 2022
State
#62
Nation
WI
– Wauwatosa East
As a forward, Bond’s skills on the glass are as good as anyone. Although he averaged only 5.9 rebounds a game, it’s his athleticism and timing that give him potential at this role (his height and mature strength are also key factors).
Top Passer:
Casey Verhagen

Sheboygan Area Lutheran | 2022
State
WI
– Sheboygan Lutheran
Verhagen paced his team in assists and finished top five in the entire state in assists per game. He showed this season and during the summer that he’s unselfish. He’s able to score in bunches but uses his quickness to create when surrounded by talented prospects.
Two-Way:
Seth Trimble

WI
– Menomonee Falls
I’ve done quite a bit of typing praising Trimble, but it’s worth reiterating. His athleticism is atop his class, which plays perfectly into his defensive style, and on offense he’s only expanding his arsenal.
Fastest Riser:
Donovan Short

Denmark | 2022
State
WI
– Denmark
Short was previously unranked, but he flipped a switch at the beginning of the season. The Denmark product finished averaging 18.6 points a night, and although he’s 6’9”, he did it mostly with his jumper and perimeter savvy.
Needs More Attention:
Chevalier Emery Jr

Neenah | 2022
State
WI
Jr. – Neenah
Emery Jr. was the spark plug for Neenah during the playoffs and looked to turn a corner with late postseason success. The two-way guard can do a little of everything and is gradually becoming a lethal attacker and solid defender.
Glue Guy:
Donovan Sparks

Sparks

Nicolet | 2022
State
WI
– Nicolet
Sparks played side by side with some of the top 2021 and 2020 prospects last season, still managing to show out. He’s physical in the post as a guard, but can also snatch boards, push the pace, and create for himself in isolation situations.
Top Summer Player:
Jeffery Brazziel

Martin Luther | 2022
#159

AZ
– Milwaukee Destiny
Brazziel didn’t play this school season, but he holds on to the number one spot in our 2022 rankings because of his breakout summer. He utilizes fast pacing and quick offense well, slicing through the paint and attacking hard when the defense shows any gap or inconsistency. If he gets a chance to perform this summer, colleges could get a much-needed checkup on the star prospect.
