JoCorian is one of, if not the most underrated player in the entire Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. He was a 1st Team All-District player this season doubling nearly all of his stats from the previous year. This smooth crafty lefty got better and better game after game. Freeman is a flat out baller that can do everything on the court. He’s an instinctual scorer that’s hard to slow down once he gets a hot hand. His jumper has shown a lot of improvement, he loves the 3-ball and shoots it pretty well, a lights-out shooter when wide open and has no problem knocking it down with a hand in his face. JoCorian has a mean bag of handles that he utilizes perfectly to get the shot he’s looking for. When driving the ball he goes in hard and strong, usually finishing through the contact with a sweet finger roll or a slam dunk. He’s an aggressive and physical player on offense, defense, and on the boards. He had multiple games this year where he pulled down over 5 rebounds a game. Excellent physical profile, a 6’3 super athlete, with a strong body, and strong hands. JoCorian Freeman has no ceiling, he continues to develop tremendously at every aspect of the game year after year, he’s really coming into his own as a ballplayer. Freeman is the most exciting player to watch in Irving, if he’s not dunking on you he’s breaking your ankles. He doesn’t play for a big program or for some well-known school so he has slid under the radar, but I can tell you now that amazing things are soon to come in his future. JoCorian Freeman should already be on the college coaches’ recruiting list, if he can continue to become more efficient, continue to progress as a playmaker, and will his team to a few more wins, then he’ll be at the top of those recruiting list in no time.
Kaden Morgan – Shooting Guard – Byron Nelson High School:
Kaden is the type of player every team needs to be successful, he’s a lockdown defender willing to sacrifice his body, a reliable offensive threat, and a true competitor. This scrappy defender can guard the best player on any team, he plays the ball and the passing lanes exceptionally well. He has a knack for getting under his opponents’ skin and causing them to push off, pick up their dribble, or turnover the ball. Kaden possesses great instincts and anticipation on defense, his ability to recognize the opposing teams’ tendencies is impressive. Offensively, his potential is high due to his ability to penetrate the lane or pop out and shoot. He’s 6’1 and can be very quick and shifty from time to time. Morgan’s very good at cutting and moving without the ball to get open from three or in the paint. A solid shooter that you can’t leave open or he’s likely going to knock it down, especially from the corner. Kaden Morgan consistently plays above expectations, a lot of what he does best won’t show up on the stat sheet but it will definitely result in wins.
Jaden Flournoy – Point Guard/Shooting Guard – South Grand Prairie High School:
Pure high IQ combo-guard with all the physical tools you can ask for, he’s 6’5, has a strong body, and a wide wingspan. Jaden has natural lead guard abilities but really excels as a shooting guard where he can look to score regularly and still create for his teammates. He’s a very unselfish player with high-quality court vision; he has a nice quick and accurate touch on his passes, he’s the type of player that’s always looking to make the pass first. Excellent with his off-hand when attacking and finishing at the rim, he displays great body control as he completes layups through contact. Jaden also shows potential to be a deadly shooter, his balance and form are spot-on and he’s virtually automatic in catch and shoot situations. When in transition, the team is always looking for him to spot-up in the corner or around the wing. Jaden Flournoy is on pace to be one of the top offensive threats in the city if he continues to expand his game. He was just selected as a 1st Team All-District player this year and was set to have a big breakout summer before everything was put on hold. If he returns with a fire in his belly he will have an amazing senior season.
Hamilton Hamm – Point Guard – Dallas Carter High School:
Hamilton Hamm is a 5’10 lead guard with a great feel and understanding of the game. What he lacks in height, he makes up for with his competitiveness and his skill. Hamm is a high-speed player with a very smooth and controlled handle. He does a good job of changing speed and direction on a dime, his mean hesitation moves seem to work every time. Hamilton is a tough player to keep out of the paint, he has a lightning-fast first step with next-level explosiveness and quickness, constantly blowing by the defense needing no screens to help. Hamm is at his best when playing at a fast pace where he can always put pressure on the defense by upping the tempo, and where he can see the court well enough to find easy scoring and passing opportunities. A confident shooter with deep range and a quick trigger, he can catch and shoot or pull up when you least expect it. Not a bad defender either, Hamm does a great job of keeping his man in front of him and he can even pick up full court and hound the ball handler with his quick hands, quick reflexes, and choppy feet. Hamilton Hamm is one of the most underrated point guards in Dallas and he’s starting to show potential to be a true floor general.
Robert Billingsley – Shooting Guard – Arlington Bowie High School:
An electrifying player that plays the game with high energy and passion. Robert is a true team player that plays his role perfectly, scoring the bulk of his points in the flow of the offense. Great in catch and shoot situations, able to score in bunches without ever taking a single dribble. This 3-point specialist is one of the best shooters in all of Arlington, his range is incredibly deep, his pull-up is deadly, and hitting contested shots is no issue for him. Billingsley does things on the court that show just how dangerous of a scorer he can develop into. At 6’2, Robert has good physical attributes, a solid frame, long arms, long legs, and is super fast with and without the ball in hand. Robert Billingsley can be a valuable player at the college level with his ability to guard multiple positions, play within the offense, score without dominating the ball, and shoot from anywhere on the court. Look out for him next season, he has the chance to be one of the Arlington’s top 3-point leaders.
