There was a lot of players that made some great cases for themselves late in the season. There is one player in particular that made a late splash. e look forward to watching play resume so we can start moving players up the ranks.
6’2 Richard “Pop Pop” Issacs Jr. of Wasatch Academy/Vegas Elite is something else. He lives up to all the stars that follow his name. He plays hungry and gritty. He can make you pay from anyplace on the court including the defensive end.
6’8 C Keba Keita Keba Keita 6'9" | C Wasatch Academy | 2022 State #157 Nation UT of American Heritage High School. The Mali native is an absolute beast in the low post. He is strong, athletic and raw. Although he is raw he has skill. He will be suiting up for Jimmer Elite. He could be the next player from Mali to come through Utah and attract major colleges.
6’8 SF Matus Hronsky of Wasatch Academy/Utah Prospects will have a breakout junior year. He has a full set of skills. He has a great motor and he can find different ways to score. Look for him to start turning heads and picking up those offers as soon as play resumes.
Another player that had a fantastic season and is a player to watch next season is Logan Prince Logan Prince 6'3" | CG West Jordan | 2022 State UT of West Jordan/Salt Lake Basketball Club the 6’3 guard can play. He score and is sneaky athletic as well.
A very interesting player is 6’8 Jaxon Heiden Jaxon Heiden 6'9" | PF Alta | 2022 State UT of Alta High School and Salt Lake Rebels. Jaxon can shoot from the outside and also play inside with his length and athletic ability.
Juan Diego/Salt Lake Bounce has a 6’6 SF in Hare Vaa Hatitio Hare Vaa Hatitio 6'6" | PF Juan Diego | 2022 State UT who is a junkyard dog as he rebounds, defends and sets screens. Still raw on the post but has potential.
While Highland didn’t have a successful season, 6’1 PG Elijah Tolbert Elijah Tolbert 6'2" | PG Highland | 2022 State UT (Kongo) had a breakout year. Look for him to take it to the next level this up-coming season.
6’7 C Devin Carlston of Bingham/Utah Premier could be another raw talent that can develop into a solid player to watch this upcoming season.
Merrick Sherwood Merrick Sherwood 6'4" | SG Mountain Ridge | 2022 State UT of Mountain Ridge/Salt Lake Metro had a great sophomore year as he can score with the best of them. Merrick could also have a big year this up-coming year because he can score from various areas of the court.
