In this series we dive into the 40 premier performances from the year that we personally witnessed. Here is our Top Performances We Saw This Season: #26 – #30!
#26 Jeremiah Williams Jeremiah Williams 6'5" | SF Simeon | 2020 State #278 Nation IL (Simeon)
Williams is a 6’5” small forward that is ultimate utility guy and he showcased that in the city title game against Morgan Park. He rebounds very well for a wing and brings tenacity on the defensive end guarding both on the perimeter as well as in the paint. Offensively he is best slashing for floaters, getting on the offensive glass, and knocked down a pair of mid-range jumpers en route to 21 points.
#27 Kyle Lillwitz Kyle Lillwitz 6'4" | SG Lemont | 2020 State IL (Lemont)
Lillwitz is a lefty small forward that committed to Lawrence University in the week right before his huge performance against Oak Forest. He came out on fire! The wing displayed a clean looking three point shot along with a crafty all-around scoring game. His shot fakes followed by step in mid-range jumpers were absolutely lethal in this contest. Lillwitz went for 25 points including 13 in the first quarter.
#28 Robbie Avila Robbie Avila 6'9" | PF Oak Forest | 2022 State #225 Nation IL (Oak Forest)
The 6’8” power forward is an uber skilled face up four that can stretch the floor with his shooting and score with efficiency around the hoop. Early on he was dominant on the boards recording double digits rebounds in the first half alone. He has an excellent feel for where it is coming off the glass and snatching them at their high point. Offensively he displayed touch scoring on put backs and making quick moves with the ball. Did hit one three on the night finishing with 19 points and 15 rebounds against Lemont. High-major future for this kid!
#29 Marcus Watson Marcus Watson 5'11" | PG Morgan Park | 2020 State #131 Nation IL (Morgan Park)
The lefty point guard who is headed to Wake Forest put on a frantic effort trying to get the Mustangs back in the city title game against Simeon in the second half. He used his quickness defensively creating turnovers and then turning them into points on the other end with his patented acrobatic layups. Also connected on a few sweet pull ups. Crisp passer that has vision to find shooters and guys running the floor. He had 26 points.
#30 Kendale Anderson Kendale Anderson 6'5" | PF Leo | 2020 State IL (Leo)
Anderson was an absolute beast in their game against Kenwood at the Team Rose Shootout. The Leo post dominated on the glass with his physicality and out powering his opponents. He is built like a college defensive tackle. One of the best motors and rebounders in the class. He mauled on the offensive glass for put backs and defensively was a force with his shot blocking and intimidation around the rim. Anderson had 27 points.
