Kanye Clary Kanye Clary 5'11" | PG Massanutten | 2022 State VA | 5’11” | Princess Anne
Clary is one of the most dynamic playmaking guards in the whole state regardless of class and while he has to fill it up to the tune of 20+ a game in high school he still shows great vision and the willingness to trust his teammates. He lives in the lane which allows him to break the defense down and make the right plays, he knows the game and his personnel well and he has great passing ability as well.
George Pettaway | 6’0” | Nansemond-Suffolk
Pettaway is a big time football recruit but on the basketball court he’s a born leader and floor general as well. A stocky point guard that’s strong and athletic, Pettaway is able to break down the defense on his own but is also great at running the sets and finding the right man through it. He’s a guy who makes everyone better and doesn’t turn the ball over either.
Lorenzo Nichols | 5’9” | Stonewall Jackson
Nichols is the next in a long line of good point guards at Stonewall and he may be the best playmaker of the group so far. He’s a pass first guy that is crafty off the bounce and gets in the lane well, he can drive-and-kick or drive and dump to bigs and he’s terrific in transition where he gives it up at the right time and consistently makes good decisions with the ball in his hands.
Ethan Millirons Ethan Millirons 6'0" | PG Auburn | 2022 State VA | 6’0” | Auburn
Millirons was named the Class 1 State Player of the Year after helping lead Auburn to the state championship and he did so by leading the team in points and assists this year. A highly skilled and cerebral guard with a great skill set, he’s a guy who can do it all off the bounce and runs the pick-and-roll very well. He has the ability to draw the eyes of the defense since he can score from all over and delivers crisp passes that aren’t super flashy but are very effective.
Elijah White Elijah White 5'11" | PG Kempsville | 2022 State VA | 5’10” | Kempsville
White has been at the helm for Kempsville over the past two years and this season you could really see him improve from a floor general standpoint and as a playmaker as well. He’s a guy with a great handle that can break down defenders, he can deliver passes with both hands and he’s able to draw the defense and make passes at the last second against collapsing defenses.
Xavier Brown Xavier Brown 6'2" | PG Oak Hill Academy | 2023 VA | 6’1” | Jamestown
Brown is another guy who has improved and is on his way to being one of the best lead guards in the 757 with his athleticism and dynamic playmaking ability. He has good burst that allows him to get in the lane and find guys, he’s terrific in transition with his ability to pitch ahead and find his shooters and with his finishing ability around the basket it draws the defense and allows him to kick to open guys.
