I like to take a look at my annual “Top-5’s”.
Every player has their 1 skill they usually excel at.
It’s just a fun way to take a look at players’ elite skills in different categories.
We move over to the 10 players who are very versatile. These are the players who can play and defend multiple positions and bring different skills to the court then a typical player. My top-5 in this particular category could of been on many lists, but that’s what makes them versatile!
Here are my Top-5:
1. Sadraque Nganga Sadraque Nganga 6'9" | PF AZ Compass Prep | 2022 State #37 Nation AZ (AZ Compass Prep)
-Arguably the most unique player in the state. Can literally play all 5 positions with his size and handle.
2. Ringo Aguek Ringo Aguek 6'7" | SF Ironwood | 2022 State AZ (Ironwood)
-Another who can play maybe 4 positions from the 2-5 next year for the Eagles.
3. Patrick Chew Patrick Chew 6'4" | SG Brophy | 2022 State AZ (Brophy Prep)
-A defensive dynamo who can play the 1-3 for the Broncos next year.
4. Quinn Thompson Quinn Thompson 6'5" | PF Sunnyslope | 2022 State AZ (Sunnyslope)
-Arguably the most unique new player I viewed all year. He played multiple positions and defended the 2-5.
5. Croix Sweeney Croix Sweeney 6'4" | SF Horizon | 2022 State AZ (Horizon)
-A deep shooter who can play the 2-4 for he Huskies. A match-up nightmare every game.
Next-5:
1. Trent Moser Trent Moser 6'7" | PF Gilbert | 2022 AZ (Gilbert)
-Pushing 6’8 and he can play the 3-5 easily with skill and fluidity.
2. Pike Tancil Pike Tancil 6'2" | PG Willow Canyon | 2022 State AZ (Willow Canyon)
-A strong downhill player will play the 1-3 for the Wildcats next year.
3. William Dubuc William Dubuc 6'5" | PF Desert Mountain | 2022 State AZ (Desert Mountain)
-A top notch rebounder can play the 3-5 for the Wolves.
4. Jordan Stevens Jordan Stevens 6'2" | SF Gila Ridge | 2022 State AZ (Gila Ridge)
-A strong wing can play inside and out at the 2-5 positions for the Hawks.
5. Tyreek Dean Tyreek Dean 6'4" | SF Taylor Made Prep | 2023 State AZ (Chaparral)
-A thick forward can play the 3-5 with his brawn, motor and handle.
