Rafael Castro Rafael Castro 6'9" | PF Dover | 2021 State #157 Nation NJ | Dover
Castro was the state’s leading rebounder with 440 total. He averaged 18.3 points and 16.3 rebounds per game during his junior season. Castro notched 23 double-doubles and put up his best game in a late-season win over Morris Hill with 30 points and 17 rebounds. At 6’9, Castro was also a rim protector with 4.8 blocks per game. He finished with a triple-double against Parsippany Hills with 18 points, 25 rebounds, and 10 blocks. Castro is a Division I forward because of his instincts and skills on both ends.
Tazir Cantey Tazir Cantey 6'0" | PG Eastern | 2021 State NJ | Lindenwold
Cantey was a dominant scorer this season. He averaged 25.3 points per game. Cantey scored 20 or more points 20 times, 30 or more 11 times, and went over 40 points twice. Cantey posted a triple-double against Audubon with 45 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 steals. Cantey is a do-it-all guard that can step out and shoot but he thrives at getting to the rim. Cantey finished the season with 136 made free throws this season.
Amar’e Marshall Amar’e Marshall 6'2" | PG Roselle Catholic | 2021 State NJ | Montclair Immaculate
Marshall was part of a strong one-two punch at Montclair Immaculate with Zion Bethea Zion Bethea 6'3" | PG Montcalir Immaculate | 2020 State #393 Nation NJ . Marshall is the only one returning and he will take his game to another level as a senior. He scored 15.6 points per game this season and knocked down 39 three’s. Marshall was an elite scorer at all three levels. Marshall has great size out on the perimeter and uses his length well on the defensive end.
Rayshawn Ford Rayshawn Ford 6'2" | SG St. Peter's Prep | 2021 State NJ | St. Peter’s Prep
Ford is half of one of the top backcourts in the game. Ford scored 14.3 points per game and was viewed as a finisher because he is an elite free throw shooter. He is a player that impresses in all phases when on the floor. Watching St. Peter’s Prep live gives you a chance to see Ford in action. His speed with or without the ball can only be understood in-person. Next season, St. Peter’s Prep will be one of the top teams in the state against and Ford will be a must watch player.
Matthew Delaney Matthew Delaney 6'7" | PF St. Augustine | 2021 State NJ | St. Augustine
Delaney was another impact forward in the Class of 2021. At 6’6, he is listed as a small forward but can shift down low to guard and play any position. Delaney scored 15.7 points per contest as a junior. He showed an ability to step out and shoot effectively or score in the post. He knows how to use his size and strength on both ends and it makes him an elite rebounder. Delaney has a soft touch around the rim and from midrange.
