Game 1: Park Center 89, Spring Lake Park 88
Two teams that were set to face off in the 5AAAA final last month get that thrilling matchup in the state quarterfinals on our simulator. The Pirates edged out the win behind a monster game from Josh Brown Josh Brown 6'3" | SG Park Center | 2020 State MN , who scored 25 points on five triples and found his way to the interior multiple times too. David Ijadimbola David Ijadimbola 6'2" | PG Park Center | 2020 State MN scored 21 in support, Detavius Frierson Detavius Frierson 6'4" | SF Park Center | 2020 State MN added 17 with versatile play on both ends and Dain Dainja Dain Dainja 6'9" | C Park Center | 2020 State #48 Nation MN scored 14.
Blake Remme Blake Remme 6'6" | SF Spring Lake Park | 2020 State MN continued his strong shooting with 23 for SLP. Kaleb Skelly Kaleb Skelly 6'4" | SF Spring Lake Park | 2021 State MN was a breakout performer at the MN open period this past weekend and backed that up with 18 points inside here. Gabe Myren Gabe Myren 6'3" | SG Spring Lake Park | 2020 State MN finished his career with a 17-point performance, Jacob Say Jacob Say 5'10" | PG Spring Lake Park | 2020 State MN had 16 and Daydor Phillips Daydor Phillips 6'2" | SF Spring Lake Park | 2020 State MN roughed it up inside for 14.
Game 2: Lakeville North 78, Tartan 59
The Panther Way is to win in the playoffs. I don’t make the rules, that’s just the way it is. Will Blascziek went off for 20 points, Cooper Laufenburger Cooper Laufenburger 6'5" | SF Lakeville North | 2021 State MN poured in 19 and Noah Frechette Noah Frechette 6'4" | PF Lakeville North | 2020 State MN scored 18 to lead the three-headed consistency machine. The backcourt of Josh Kamara Josh Kamara 6'0" | PG Lakeville North | 2020 State MN and Carter Patterson Carter Patterson 6'1" | SG Lakeville North | 2020 State MN cooled offensively but made life difficult for the Tartan guards.
Langston Binns Langston Binns 6'2" | SF Tartan | 2020 State MN had another strong outing scoring 23 and Dorian Singer Dorian Singer 6'0" | PG Tartan | 2021 MN slashed for 12, but no other Titans were in double figures as the scores were hard to come by against a stout North team defense.
Game 3: Cambridge-Isanti 76, Rochester Century 70
Coming alive more and more as the tourney goes on, Henry Abraham Henry Abraham 5'11" | PG Cambridge | 2020 State MN led all scorers with 25 points. Connor Braaten Connor Braaten 6'5" | PF Cambridge-Isanti | 2021 State MN splashed again as a secondary option with 20 points and the Bluejackets high-paced offense finds itself in the Final Four.
Gabe Hanson once again led Century in scoring with 21, while Jack Fisher Jack Fisher 6'2" | SG Rochester Century | 2020 State MN added 19 and Stephen Olander Stephen Olander 6'1" | SG Rochester Century | 2020 State MN had 14 points on the other wing in defeat.
Game 4: Chaska 89, White Bear Lake 77
The star seniors came to compete in this one for the Hawks. Zach Lea Zach Lea 6'4" | SG Chaska | 2020 State MN and Mahad Faisal Mahad Faisal 6'6" | PF Chaska | 2020 State MN each scored 20 points to lead Chaska in victory. Great balanced contributions from Luke Strazzanti Luke Strazzanti 6'4" | SG Chaska | 2021 State MN (17), Jack Frick Jack Frick 6'2" | SG Chaska | 2021 State MN (16) and Brady Nicholson Brady Nicholson 6'9" | C Chaska | 2022 State MN (16) created a formula for a semifinal appearance.
Kanye Raheem Kanye Raheem 6'2" | SG White Bear Lake | 2021 State MN led the Bears with 20 points as the White Bear Lake run comes to an end. All players were in double figures and Will Forsythe Will Forsythe 6'6" | PF White Bear Lake | 2021 MN was in support inside with 18.
