Over the upcoming weeks, we will dive deep into the main statistical categories of the top-scoring, three-point shooting, rebounding, and defensive players in each district, as well as our All-District team selections.

This week we will cover District 27-6A, which features high school programs: Churchill Chargers, Johnson Jaguars, Lee Volunteers, MacArthur Brahmas, Madison Mavericks, Reagan Rattlers, Roosevelt Rough Riders, and South San Antonio Bobcats.

Today’s article will highlight the best three-point shooters in the district, as well as the top passers. Stats such as assists per contest, assist/turnover ratio, and three-point percentage will be the primary focus for these top dimers and sharpshooters.
Here are the top passers and sharpshooters from District 27-6A in 2019-20:
Top Dimers
Corey Jackson – 5-10 Guard – Roosevelt (2021)
- As a junior Jackson averaged 5.8 assists per game in 19 games logged, totaling 110 dimes during those games played. Having four games of 8+ assists, Jackson will be a player to watch next season as he leads the Rough Riders on the court again during his senior campaign.
Keith Davis – 6-0 Guard – Reagan (2021)
- In 33 games logged Davis accumulated 112 assists, averaging 3.4 per contest for the Rattlers. Davis had 5+ assists in nine games and had an assist/turnover ratio of 1.04. Davis is a key playmaker for Reagan and will be another player to watch next season.
Christian Vasquez – 5-11 Guard – Madison (2020)
- During his senior season, Vasquez averaged 3.3 assists in 18 games logged, and had a season-high 10 assists in a 62-57 win over Churchill.
Top Sharpshooters
Manuel Paredez – 5-8 Guard – South San Antonio (2020)
- Paredez specialized as a spot-up shooter during his senior season, knocking down 58 threes in 32 games played and hitting 35% from beyond the arc. He was clutch in late-game moments for the Bobcats this past season.
Ayden Zavala – 5-10 Guard – Madison (2021)
- Hitting 40% from deep-range in 18 games logged, Zavala was lethal from three-point range this past season. Whether it was nailing open shots or creating his own, Zavala proved he could hit from beyond the arc averaging 2.6 per contest.
Zach Lee – 6-0 Guard – Reagan (2020)
- During his senior season, Lee was a key deep-range shooter for the Rattlers as he knocked down 34% of his shots from three. Lee excelled as a catch-and-shoot player and hit his open shots when given the opportunity.
Anthony Reyes – 6-0 Guard – MacArthur (2020)
- In 24 games logged Reyes hit 40% from three-point range, averaging 1.5 per game. Reyers 17 point performance against Churchill featured 5 three-pointers from the sharpshooter.
