I’m always keeping an eye out for players that are improving throughout the year. As they say, it’s not how you start, but how you finish. So for me, there’s no better way to evaluate players than watching them perform under the pressure of the playoffs. In this article, PH takes a look at some players whose production improved the deeper they got into the season.

JJ Backus 5’8 PG Lowry 2021 - The PG had a pretty solid overall season averaging 12 points per game. However, he really stepped up in his last 4 games averaging over 15 per while raising his 3 pt percentage by 13, shooting over 53% from behind the arc.

Avery Strasdin 6’2 SG Churchill County 2021 - Strasdin was a key piece of the back to back championship team. Much like Backus he was solid all season, however, during his last 7 games he averaged over 14ppg including a 20 and 25 point performance.
