Derrick Claxton Derrick Claxton 6'6" | SF Inderkum | 2022 WA (Inderkum) – A sophomore who excelled this season. The 6-foot-5 standout was a key player for the Tigers. Claxton scored 15.6 points, dished 1.6 assists and grabbed 8.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals. Claxton is a strong wing who is dominant in the paints but is also versatile with the ball.
Tyler Amores Tyler Amores 6'1" | CG Granite Bay | 2022 CA-N (Granite Bay) – A guard who continues to develop will be looking to make the most of his opportunities next season. Amores is a guard who does the little things to help his team succeed. Amores has a tight handle and a quick first step that will be used to blow by defenders to get to the rack and create shots off the dribble.
Malik Rose Malik Rose 5'9" | PG Folsom | 2022 WA (Folsom) – A physical guard who loves to push the ball. Rose is a floor general who is crafty around the rim with his finishes but has a nice jump shot. Rose displays good court vision and has a strong potential to be a high-level defender.
Anthony Sierras (Antelope) – A big reason for Antelope’s turnaround season, Sierras stepped up big time. A great athlete who can move well with or without the ball. Sierras can finish through tough contact. The 6-foot-2 wing can get to the rim when he wants but also has quality passing abilities. A great rebounder who also loves to play defense.
Miles Bryd (Lincoln) – Byrd scored 12.3 points to go with 2.8 assists, 6.4 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 1.3 blocks. A player who loves to fill the stat sheet. The guard does not back down from competition and loves to compete. Bryd loves to put the ball on the floors and create opportunities.
Kendall Allen Kendall Allen 5'11" | CG Vacaville Christian | 2022 CA-N (Vacaville Christian) – A phenomenal guard who had a standout year. Allen is a physical guard who is hardnosed. The 5-foot-11 guard scored more than 20 points. Allen is a complete floor general who is unselfish and loves to crash the board. A player with quality instincts on both ends.
Anthony Arguelles (Mesa Verde) – A gifted offensive player. Arguelles scored 23 points but also recorded nearly 5 assists and 3 rebounds. A guard who can put the ball in the basket at will, displaying the strong ability to get to the rim or using his jump shot.
Gavin Martinez (Liberty Ranch) – A player who has a lot of potential and showed spurts of it this past season. Martinez is a guard who can be a big X-Factor for Hawks next season. A guard who can put the ball on the floor and create opportunities and is a knockdown shooter.
Brandon Herrera (Foothill) – The 5-foot-10 guard did it all for the Mustangs. Herrera continues to develop and improve throughout the season. A guard who loves to crash the board, recording nearly 6 rebounds a game but can also get you buckets as he scored 19.3 points per contest during his sophomore campaign.
