Top Prospect
Jonathan Kuminga Jonathan Kuminga 6'8" | SF Patrick School | 2020 #1 Nation NJ came over from Our Savior Lutheran in New York. He is now on The Patrick School and is the No. 1 ranked player in the Class of 2021 according to ESPN. Kuminga is a tremendous athlete at 6’8 with pro aspirations. He is a Division I player right now and might have opted to enter the draft if there was no one-and-done rule.
Top Scorer
Rutgers Prep was one of the top teams in the state this season. This was much in part because of Trey Patterson Trey Patterson 6'7" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2021 State #36 Nation NJ . The 6’7 forward averaged 20 points per game this season from all over the floor. He is a versatile player that can play many positions. Patterson hit 42 three’s and could not be stopped in the lane. He showed his dominant ability to score in an early season win over Immaculata where he had 43 points.
Top Floor General
This is a toss up but Jaylen Blakes Jaylen Blakes 6'1" | PG Blair Academy | 2021 State #121 Nation NJ of Blair has to be the choice. Blakes is the type of player you want running your offense because of his poise. He is always under control of his movements and knows where he wants to go with the ball. He is at one of the top basketball programs in the state and has fully arrived as a top prospect.
Top Shooter
Noah Harris Noah Harris 6'0" | PG Rutgers Prep | 2021 State NJ of Rutgers Prep had a breakout junior year. Patterson is one of the best players in New Jersey but Harris cannot be ignored when watching a game. He finished third in the state with 99 made three’s. He was a marksman from deep but could also create his own shot off the dribble from midrange. Harris was one of the best passers in the state as well.
Top Post Player
When Kuminga came to The Patrick School, Adama Sanogo Adama Sanogo 6'9" | PF Patrick School | 2020 NJ came with him. Sanogo is attempting to reclass to 2020 but as of now, he is one of the top players in 2021. At 6’9, Sanogo is a dominant presence on both ends. He has elite footwork and strong hands. Sanogo is another player with NBA aspirations later in his career.
Top Combo Guard
Wisler Sanon Wisler Sanon 6'2" | CG Paul VI | 2021 State NJ may not be a household name but he will be as a senior. The Paul VI guard is one of the top in the state thanks to his agility on the floor. Sanon is an athletic guard with great quickness. He can play many positions on the floor including down low in a pinch despite his size at 6’2. Sanon is an impressive player.
