THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Muskegon vs. River Rouge
Key Players (Note – I’m only going to give an analysis of the non senior key players to avoid being repetitive):
Lamar Lee Lamar Lee PF Muskegon | 2020 State MI (2020, PF, Muskegon)
Vern Nash Vern Nash 5'10" | PG Muskegon | 2020 State MI III (2020, CG, Muskegon)
Jarvis Walker Jarvis Walker 6'2" | PG Muskegon | 2020 State #416 Nation MI (2020, PG, Muskegon)
River Rouge Key Players:
Brent Darby Jr. Brent Darby Jr. PF River Rouge | 2020 State MI (2020, F, River Rouge)
Keyshawn Devlin Keyshawn Devlin 5'11" | CG River Rouge | 2021 State MI (2021, PG, River Rouge)
Devlin is an underrated floor general. He’s very efficient with the ball in his hands, running the offense. Devlin is a solid ball handler that can create off the dribble. He can draw the defense and dish off to cutters and open shooters.
Legend Geeter Legend Geeter 6'7" | PF River Rouge | 2021 State MI (2021, F, River Rouge)
Geeter is a multi talented and versatile superstar. He’ll be one of the front runners for next years Mr. Basketball. Geeter can score, rebound, and defend, all at a very high level. He’s even been known to have the ability to play a point-forward type role.
Prediction: River Rouge
I said in a previous article: River Rouge has big game swag. It’s like they were built for this moment and for this game. The play great team basketball and are as hard-nosed and as tough as any team in Michigan. Devlin and Geeter are one of the top junior combos, and next year as seniors, I think they would have been defending their state championship.
