1) MILTON MATTHEWS | ROCK CREEK CHRISTIAN | OVERALL RANK: #22
Matthews has built a reputation as one of the best shooters in the region regardless of class. He is more than just that, however. Expect him to make an immediate impact at the next level wherever he lands.
2) MIKE BROWN | TAKOMA ACADEMY | OVERALL RANK: #28
Brown’s high school career has been riddled with injury, but whenever he’s been on the court it’s easy to see his dynamic ability. At age 17, he’s one of the younger class of 2020 prospects and we believe he still has plenty of room to grow as a result.
3) ERIC SONDBERG | SOUTH RIVER | OVERALL RANK: #29
Sondberg is known for his ability to shoot the trey ball. One thing that people often overlook is his length. Sondberg competes defensively and has shown the ability to rebound out of his area. As his frame fills out he should continue to improve on that end of the floor.
4) DIMINGUS STEVENS | BISHOP WALSH | OVERALL RANK: #30
There is probably no better microwave scorer in this area than Stevens. He has unlimited range and can put up points in bunches if not accounted for.
5) JOEMEL MCNAIR | ELEANOR ROOSEVELT | OVERALL RANK: #42
One thing that you have to love about McNair is his constant willingness to work hard on both ends of the floor. He’s an explosive scorer who can defend multiple positions.
6) JACK DOUMBIA | LANHAM CHRISTIAN | OVERALL RANK: #43
Doumbia is one of the best-kept secrets in the state of Maryland. At 6-foot-5, he’s capable of putting it on the deck and breaking down defenders off the bounce. Doumbia is a good athlete who plays extremely hard and had it not been for injury would have likely been on the radar of more division one schools.
7) MALCOLM ALEXANDER | BULLIS | OVERALL RANK: #73
Alexander is a smooth scoring wing with good size at 6-foot-4. He’s a capable floor spacer who has shown the ability to get hot and hit several threes in a row.
8) MICHAEL KATSOCK | ST. ALBANS | OVERALL RANK: #80
Katsock has earned the respect of both his peers and opponents not just with his dead-eye shooting ability, but with his intangibles. He’s grown into a tremendous leader not just with his words, but also by example.
9) QUENTIN SOUTHALL | GEORGETOWN PREP | OVERALL RANK: #97
Southall is a blue-collar wing who can impact the game in many ways. He’s a plus defender and a sneaky athlete who is not afraid to mix it up in the paint against bigger opponents.
10) MALIK HOLLAND | OXON HILL | OVERALL RANK: #99
Holland is one of the best catch-and-shoot guys you will find in the state of Maryland. He is exceptional at moving off the ball, is always shot-ready, and releases the ball quickly.
