1) EARL TIMBERLAKE | DEMATHA | OVERALL RANK: #4
The list of top utility players would simply not be complete without Earl Timberlake Earl Timberlake 6'6" | SF DeMatha | 2020 State #29 Nation MD . DeMatha’s do-it-all wing has filled a myriad of roles on both ends throughout his distinguished career.
2) SPENCER HAYES | ST. ANDREW’S | OVERALL RANK: #45
We saw the best of Hayes this season, culminating in a terrific all-around performance during the MAC Championship. The versatile wing should compete for minutes right away at Howard.
3) NATE LACEY | SHERWOOD | OVERALL RANK: #56
Lacey is a tremendous athlete who can impact the game in many ways. Sherwood’s talismanic leader is known for making guys around him better.
4) CASHEUS COVINGTON | ARCHBISHOP CARROLL | OVERALL RANK: #65
Covington wore many hats at Carroll. He was able to do a good job defending some of the top wings in the area but also score and initiate offense when his team needed it.
5) MALIK CARSON | ROCK CREEK CHRISTIAN | OVERALL RANK: #66
Carson’s emergence was a huge part of his team’s success this season. His ability to play and defend multiple positions while spacing the floor was essential to Rock Creek’s style of play.
6) MIKE SUMNER | OXON HILL | OVERALL RANK: #83
Sumner can play 3 different positions and is especially impressive when he has the ball in his hands. His natural playmaking ability is evident on both ends of the floor.
7) MARK LLEWELLYN | GEORGETOWN PREP | OVERALL RANK: #85
Llewellyn quickly blossomed into a leader at Georgetown Prep. Whether it was rebounding the ball in traffic, taking a charge, scoring, or setting up his teammates, he was always up to the task.
8) JOSIAH HARDY | GONZAGA | OVERALL RANK: #95
Hardy was a very reliable option off the bench for Coach Turner, especially when Gonzaga needed a stop. Hardy’s defensive versatility and relentless motor are two key ingredients to his ability to prosper.
9) OMAR MCGANN | ST. CHARLES | OVERALL RANK: #98
McGann has shown the ability to play both on and off the ball over the years. His off-ball skills were enhanced by his improved shooting ability. McGann developed into a knock-down shooter very quickly.
10) MICHAEL HARRELL | THE HEIGHTS | OVERALL RANK: #107
Harrell did a bit of everything for The Heights. He is a vigilant defender who is not afraid to put his body on the line against anyone but is also an unselfish playmaker who consistently gets into the paint.
