It’s draft season. The WNBA and NFL just held their drafts. Major League Baseball, the NBA and NHL will each hold theirs in June.

If the seven Topeka schools were to hold a draft of all the players from the 2020-2022 classes, it might look a little like this (Draft order based on 2019-20 win percentage):

Seaman 1-18

Hayden 4-17

Shawnee Heights 12-9

Topeka West 14-8

Highland Park15-8

Topeka High 16-6

Washburn Rural 16-5

Washburn Rural: Juan’Tario Roberts, soph., HP – jitterbug who can score in waves



Seaman: Da’Vonshai Harden, senior Topeka High – he’s a mismatch and accustomed to the spotlight

Hayden: Noah Kruger, senior, WR
