Micah Johnson Jr. will move onto the college level next season. This means that Newark East Side will need their trio of sophomores to step up as juniors. Gaskins is one of those big names. Donovan Catholic struggled in the deep Shore Conference this season and it was because of their youth. Petty is one of those young players that will improve and take his team to another level. Petty was the starting point guard as a sophomore and he made the typical rookie mistakes. He has two years to fix some issues but the raw ability and athleticism are there.
