Our last piece featured the point guard rankings for the class and we will now move to the shooting guards.
The shooting guard position for this class is not as top heavy talented as the point guard position, but there are still several solid college prospects capable of playing the “2” in college.
John Christofilis John Christofilis 6'4" | SG O'Dea | 2021 State #185 Nation WA of O’Dea High School is the most highly recruited shooting guard of the class thanks to his lethal jumper and supreme confidence shooting the ball. The 6’3 prospect (feature image) moves well without the ball and can hit the 1-2 dribble pull up or catch and shoot opportunities. He has offers from six Division 1 programs. 6’4 Noah Pepper Noah Pepper 6'4" | SG Selah | 2021 State WA of Selah High School can literally do everything on the floor at 6’4, 205 pounds. Pepper is a player that more colleges should be recruiting due to his competitiveness, work ethic and skill. At number three is 6’5 Amar Rivers Amar Rivers 6'6" | SG Auburn | 2021 State WA from Auburn High School. Rivers is wiry and long with more room to fill out and grow. He is bouncy and has some untapped potential on both sides of the ball. Prosser High School’s Haden Hicks Haden Hicks 6'2" | SG Prosser | 2021 State WA is a player that should also not be overlooked by colleges. He is strong and competitive, with above the rim athleticism. Hicks rebounds the ball at a high level from the guard position. At the number five slot is Ingraham High School’s Ja’Von Ervin. A strong bodied slasher that can attack the basket, draw contact and finish. He is also an above the rim finisher in transition. At number six and seven are 6’4 Brandon McCray Brandon McCray 6'4" | SG Lakes | 2021 State WA , a versatile, slick handle guard from Lakes High school and Skyview’s super shooter, Jace Chatman Jace Chatman 6'4" | SG Skyview | 2021 State WA who has a pretty high ceiling and true late bloomer potential.
