Paul Bruns of Dakota Valley (6’4 SG). Bruns is up for overall player of the year in South Dakota after scoring 28. Points a game with a ridiculous 12.7 boards a contest from the guard position. Add in 3.6 assists a game shooting 41.3 percent at the arc and 49 percent overall and you have a rare, special talent.
Beau Donovan of Red Cloud (6’0 PG). The top playmaker for Red Cloud, Donovan earned first team all league with 16 points, four boards, 2.5 assists, and two steals a game shooting 38 percent at the arc.
Brady Fritz of Winner (6’2 SG). An all state level talent from Winner, Brady averaged 27.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and three assists a contest shooting 46 percent from the field and 85 percent at the foul line.
Dillon Gestring of Vermillion (6’4 SF). Dillon was a second team Dak-12 player that put together a 17 point per game season shooting 55 percent from the floor and 71.4 percent from the foul line.
Carter Nelson of Dell Rapids (6’7 PF). Nelson didn’t have a big number outing this year but he is still one of the few players with size and some agility in this class. And he comes from a good program with good coaching.
Tyler Prins of Sioux Falls Christian (6’3 SF). Prins really caught out attention this year. This is a big body wing that can run well, has improved his ball handling skills, and has great body control going to the cup. All league player.
Collin Rentz of Dell Rapids (5’11 PG). When Rentz was leading Dell Rapids to state with a 16-4 record there may as well been signs all over the gym that said “Collin is the Playmaker”. Earned all league honors with 14 points a game making half the ten shots he took a game plus dished out 4-5 assists a game.
Noah Van Donkersgoed of Sioux Falls Christian (6’4 PF). Noah is a low post player that keeps it simple and uses a relentless tank of energy to put up regular numbers finishing as he moves to space and collecting boards. Second team all league player.
Kelton Vincent of Sioux Valley (5’11, PG). The Sioux Valley balance was outstanding and Vincent was one of the four all league guards/wings withsmarts and skills. Kelton is a smart, high percentage player.
Ryan Wojcik of St. Thomas More (6’2 SF/PF). Wojcik has an eye for productive athletics that others don’t have. That’s why he puts up numbers on the football field visualizing his approach, that’s why he’s consistent with getting to space on the court, that’s why his teams win.
