No. 1 — Ethan Scott Ethan Scott 5'10" | PG Mustang | 2022 State OK | 2022 PG | Mustang
[player_tooltip player_id="955384" first="Ethan" last="Scott"]No matter which way you spin it — block, neighborhood, east-side, west-side — Scott is the best shooter in the 405-area code. Following a freshman campaign that included setting and resetting the Westmoore scoring record thrice, Scott transferred to Mustang. Even in a less productive sophomore year, Scott led the state in free-throw percentage (92.1%) and shot 40 percent from 3-point range on 17.3 points-a-game. Scott also earned Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference second-team honors.
No. 2 — Daylon Andrews Daylon Andrews 5'10" | PG Pc West | 2021 State OK | 2021 PG | Putnam City West
Andrews’ shining moment occurred in the regional tournament, when the junior sharpshooter erupted for 30 points against No. 2 Southmoore to surpass the SaberCats. He can drain the air out of the gym and turn into his own confidence during his elusive shooting tirades. Andrews is primed for an exceptional senior season.
No. 3 — Cooper Shirley | 2021 PG | Minco
Shirley is among the best shooters in small-school Oklahoma. His spectacular junior year was best-reflected by his numbers: 21.7 points-per-game, 67-percent shooting from the field and 102 made shots from deep — second in each category in class 2A. His height does not hurt his chances when launching shots from deep, either.
No. 4 — David Castillo | 2021 SG | Bethany
Castillo brought the Bethany gymnasium to its feet on multiple occasions last season with his fiery, confident shooting and quick release. Shots fall like a dagger when he has the ball in his hand, and it is more likely than not that he will contribute at a higher production next season.
No. 5 — Jeremiah Johnson Jeremiah Johnson 6'4" | PG Wasatch Academy Prep Class Of 2024 | 2024 GA | 2023 PG | Putnam City North
Johnson paced the Panthers with 16 points-a-game in his freshman year while shooting 44 percent from long-range, both team-highs. Johnson’s incredible balance, coordination and confidence when firing away shots out of the dribble or catch. He can acclimate his hips, load his wrist and bury the shot before his defenders have even had a fair shake.
No. 6 — Kirk Cole | 2021 PG | Southwest Covenant
After leading all of class A with 21.7 points-per-game last season, it is safe to say that Cole has cemented himself among the top shooters in the region. His best perfjoamcne came in the regional tournament when Cole netted 44 points against Sentinal, setting a new scoring record at Southwest Covenant.
No. 7 — Andrew Smith | 2022 PG | Bishop McGuinness
Andrew SmithSmith was fantastic in his sophomore year as he caught the attention of the scouting world. His best basketball comes when hitting shots from the catch, thanks to his exceptional footwork and rapid release.
No. 8 — Jacobe Johnson Jacobe Johnson 6'3" | SG Mustang | 2023 State OK | 2023 PG | Mustang
Not only is Johnson one of the top football recruits in the state, he was one of the state’s most outstanding basketball talents, as well. He scored 16.2 points-per-game while hitting 76 percent of his free throws.
No. 9 — Brayden Dutton Brayden Dutton 6'2" | SG Yukon | 2022 State OK | 2022 SG | Yukon
Dutton finished his 2020 season with a team-high 43 3-pointers on 40.1 percent from beyond the arch — also a team-high. His particular knack is catapulting deep shots from feet beyond the arch and splashing those shots with great consistency.
No. 10 — Colby Baker | 2021 SF | Yukon
Averaging 10.2 points-a-night his junior season, it is safe to say that Baker came onto the local scene in 2020. A multi-talented scorer, Baker has a few tricks up his sleeve. He has little-to-no hesitation hitting a long shot from the dribble and silencing opposing student sections.
No. 11 — Jacob Blount | 2022 SG | Putnam City West
The standout sophomore connected on numerous attempts in crunch-time last season, especially showing-up clutch in the fourth quarter of the regional championship game against Midwest City, where Blount came off the bench to convert three shots from deep to help the Patriots. As it turns out, his in-city rivals didn’t much fancy playing against him, either.
No. 12 — LB Reeves LB Reeves 6'0" | PG Putnam City North | 2022 OK | 2022 PG | Putnam City North
Reeves saw limited varsity playing time in 2020, but his AAU showcasing was a great indicator that he will be a city standout soon. He was brilliant shooting the ball from the dribble, knocking down shot-after-shot last summer with jaw-dropping confidence.
