No. 1 — Isaac McDoulett Isaac McDoulett 6'6" | SG Tuttle | 2022 State OK | 2022 PG | Tuttle
Night-in, night-out, McDoulett made habit of scoring 20 or more points on a regular basis in his sophomore season as he led the Tigers to a deep playoff run. After serious under-exposure before the 2020 season, the red carpet rolled out before McDoulett as he earned top-ten spots on numerous publications’ 2022 prospect rankings. Consequently, his outstanding play earned him spots in the Prep Hoops OK 2022 prospect rankings as well as the all-sophomore team.
No. 2 — Jaylon White Jaylon White 5'11" | PG Norman North | 2021 State OK | 2021 PG | Norman North
Among the best multi-talented scorers in the Moore-Norman area, White’s junior season concluded with a 17.4 points-per-game line and multiple post-season awards.
JJ WhiteAnybody who has seen JJ play knows he prides himself in having a full bag of tricks, and his most potent skill may be his shooting.
No. 3 — Jarrett Grisham Jarrett Grisham 6'4" | SG OKC Storm (Homeschool) | 2022 OK | 2022 SG | OKC Storm (HS)
Grisham is a safe bet anywhere on the perimeter. The 6-foot-4-inch scorer uses his length to elevate on tricky shots with contest, launching shots above defenders and draining 3-pointers with uncanny consistency and volume. Grisham finished third in scoring for OKC Storm in 2020, but the vacuum left behind by absent graduates could put Grisham atop the scoring margin in home-school hoops.
No. 4 — Jack Cole | 2021 PG | Community Christian School
Cole earned all-conference honors following a stellar junior season for the parochial royalty (pun intended). Notably, Cole helped the Royals pull away to defeat No. 12 Hennessey in the area semi-final with a 16-point performance to advance within a game of the state tournament; its furthest playoff run in school history.
No. 5 — Kaden Vande Kaden Vande 6'7" | SG Tuttle | 2022 OK | 2022 SG | Tuttle
[player_tooltip player_id="955397" first="Jarrett" last="Grisham"] (Matt Reynolds/Prep Hoops OK)Being a talented shooter helps. Being 6-foot-7 helps even more. For Vande’s length, his guard-skill — including, of course, shooting the ball from distance — is well-developed. After a sophomore campaign that pushed his name into top-ten status, Vande promises to be a highly touted prospect.
No. 6 — Dylan Hill | 2021 PG | Bridge Creek
A much uncredited prospect, Hill’s highlight reel is full of elite play-making out of the dribble. His consistency and efficiency when shooting the ball out of movement is elite.
No. 7 — Payton Ackerman Payton Ackerman 6'0" | PG OKC Storm | 2022 OK | 2022 PG | OKC Storm
Ackerman used the 3-point line to burst onto the scene in his sophomore year. Once he gets hot, it is difficult to stop Ackerman on the perimeter.
No. 8 — Evan Barber | 2023 PG | Westmoore
Barber’s shooting excellence led him to a state-runner-up in the OBCA free throw competition his freshman season. During his run in the tournament, he netted an astonishing 123-of-125 shots from the charity stripe — 98.4 percent.
No. 9 — Peyton Musick | 2021 SG | Southmoore
The sharpshooting SaberCats’ 2020 class leaves behind it another impressive talent in Musick, whose shooting talents were harmonious in the action he saw in his junior season. As Southmoore graduates five seniors, each of whom started or saw significant minutes, Musick’s time to shine could come next season.
No. 10 — David Owusu David Owusu 6'2" | SG Westmoore | 2021 State OK | 2021 PG | Westmoore
Though his best-known talents are showcased on the drive, one should not under rate Owusu’s shooting capabilities. The scoring guard stands out when taking shots from the dribble on the 3-point line and mid-range. His drive-game sets him up in big ways to knock down deep shots.
No. 11 — Lamondo Cargile | 2021 SG | Southeast
Michael Richard (Josh Cleary/JRC Media)After a junior campaign that saw Cargile score over 16 points-a-night — a class 5A second-best to teammate Marcell Perry Marcell Perry 6'4" | SG Southeast | 2022 State OK — Cargile’s stock as a local prospect rose tremendously.
No. 12 — Connor Goodson Connor Goodson 6'1" | PG Norman | 2022 State OK | 2022 PG | Norman
Goodson was Norman’s primary underclassman contributor in its senior-laden roster in 2020. His best basketball came primarily as a hustle-point guard with elite floor vision, but his shooting abilities should not be overlooked. Goodson is likely to take reign as a primary scorer in the Tigers’ offense next season.
No. 13 — Marcell Perry Marcell Perry 6'4" | SG Southeast | 2022 State OK | 2022 SG | Southeast
Heralded as one of the most versatile scorers in the class of ’22, Perry led all of 5A with 20.8 points-a-game in his sophomore season. He is so talented a scorer, in fact, that perhaps his least potent offensive skill — shooting the basketball — is still good enough to land him a spot on this list.
No. 14 — Michael Rischard | 2021 SG | Mount St. Mary
Rischard has been known to have he-doesn’t-miss nights on a regular basis. The incoming senior will be a pivotal piece to the Rockets’ scoring attack next season.
