We will take the opportunity to take a closer look at some of the Juniors that may be impacted by the change of recruitment opportunities.
Westover HS Junior Guard D’Marco Dunn D’Marco Dunn 6'4" | CG Westover | 2021 State #75 Nation NC : He put together one of the best seasons of any high school player in the state and was on track to have a breakout summer recruitment wise. HM & MM programs have already offered and one can only believe that with a high amount of coaches in one place, his stock only would have rose higher.
Middle Creek HS Junior G/F Sam Perez Sam Perez 6'7" | PF Trinity Academy (Raleigh) | 2022 State NC : What is there not to like about a player at his height that can play on the wing with as high of a level of fluidity as he does. He’s already picked up a nice amount of D1 interest which would only grow as more coaches get the opportunity to see him.
Henderson Collegiate Junior Wing Akhris Holden: The more eyes that see him, the better his recruitment will go. He’s already proven that he knows how to be a winner as his high school team as well as his AAU team the Royal Knights, both have had a high level of success. He has a nice overall skillset to go along with his height, athleticism and wingspan.
Pinecrest HS Junior Guard Bradlee Haskell Bradlee Haskell 6'2" | CG Pinecrest | 2021 State NC : With one of the top performances late in the state playoffs, Haskell stock is on the rise picking up his first offers from D1 programs. The summer time would be the opportunity for him to continue to raise his stock as he gets the opportunity to continue to compete against other top Guards.
East Carteret Junior Guard Bennie Brooks Bennie Brooks 6'4" | CG East Carteret | 2021 State NC : The numbers he put up during his Junior campaign at ECHS were outstanding and a productive summer could have helped him to pick up some offers. Due to the fact that he plays at a smaller school, question will come up about the level of competition he faces on a nightly basis . This is where the summer is so valuable for a prospect like Bennie as he gets the chance to compete against other legit prospects.
