Ray Davis Ray Davis 5'11" | PG Santa Fe Catholic | 2020 State FL moved the ball with ease for Santa Fe Catholic as the lead point man the last two seasons. At 6’1″, he’s a versatile slasher with a high IQ and a ton of pure speed. Davis averaged 11.9 PPG, 5.6 APG, 5.2 RPG and 2.4 SPG as a senior slightly higher than his junior averaged. Right now, Davis has offers out from NAIA’s Aquinas College and Edward Waters and JUCO’s Hillsborough Community College, Albany Tech. He’s also drawn heavy interest from Albany State, Fort Hayes State, Young & Harris and Cumberlands. He’s a steal for any college program looking for someone to handle an offense with ease and calmness.
—Fellow Hawk, Antwan Walker Antwan Walker 6'1" | CG Santa Fe Catholic | 2020 State FL is an intriguing athlete who can handle the rock, attack and get into the paint and shoot it. Averaging 10.1 PPG, 5.2 APG, 4.7 RPG and 2.3 APG, Walker went under the radar on a team full of athletic guards which included Davis and State College of Florida signees Javon Bell Javon Bell 6'3" | CG Santa Fe Catholic | 2020 State FL and Joe Stubbs Joe Stubbs 6'4" | CG Santa Fe Catholic | 2020 State FL . He can certainly hold his own. JUCO’s Mid Michigan College and Clark State are looking at him hard.
Amaire Perkins Amaire Perkins 6'1" | CG Sanford Seminole | 2020 State FL played for a team full of mainly guards much like Santa Fe Catholic mentioned above. At Sanford Seminole, the 6’1″ senior played fast, effortless and never seem to get rattled or out of breath. Holding a George Mason offer, Division III Penn State Abington and JUCO Moberly College and interest from Division II Southern New Hampshire, Perkins averaged 13.0 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 2.7 APG and 2.3 SPG for a Seminoles team that finished as the Class 7A state runner-up. He had 19 games with 10 or more points including eight in his last 12 games, led by a 24 point outing in the state semifinal win over Forest Hill.
Sebastian Astor Sebastian Astor 6'0" | CG Fleming Island | 2020 State FL has been a true three-year contributor for Fleming Island, helping the Golden Eagles reach the state semifinal as a junior. During this past season, Astor averaged 15.6 PPG, 5.7 APG, 3.5 RPG and 2.5 SPG and was a Florida Dairy Farmer’s Player of The Year nominee in Class 6A. The 6’1″ crafty point guard had eight 20 point games and reached double digits in all but four games. Florida State College at Jacksonville has offered while Palm Beach Atlantic has expressed interest. Astor has a track record of running an offense and his smarts and reliable style will make him a steady piece in college.
William Spriggs William Spriggs 5'9" | CG Mandarin | 2020 State FL came on strong for Mandarin varsity midway through his sophomore season and never looked back. After averaged just over 13.0 PPG as a junior, he improved even further with 18.1 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 3.2 SPG, 2.1 APG and 1.0 BPG. At 5’9″, his mid-range jumper and outside shot is impressive. He recorded double digits in all but one game and had 12 games with 20 or more points including a 32-point showing against Flagler Palm Coast. NAIA’s St. Ambrose and Southwestern College have both offered while Spriggs has drawn interest from Central Christian College, Queens of Charlotte, Tiffin, Belmont Abbey and Albany State.
—Quajon Young was equally as important to Mandarin’s squad and at 5’9″ his speed and gamer ability are always on display. We saw it often on the Prep Hoops Circuit last summer with the North Florida Hurricanes as he was the alpha for his team. Young averaged 18.1 PPG and much like Spriggs had 12 games with 20 or more points (season-high 33 points vs Ridgeview) and just one game without double digits. He is drawing heavy interest from Christian Community College, Kansas Ottawa Tippin, Embry Riddle, Ohio Wilberforce, Catawba and Young Harris.
Kendall Bean Kendall Bean 6'2" | CG Spruce Creek | 2020 State FL wrapped up his high school career at Spruce Creek a year after playing at Altantic. The 6’3″ guard had 12 games with 20 or more points including a 33-point performance against Eustis. He is a strong and very underrated leader and scorer. Bean has earned offers from St. Joseph’s Maine, Johnson and Wales and Marietta College. He deserves a long look after proving he’s a high volume producer.
CJ Matthews CJ Matthews 6'3" | CG Choctaw | 2020 State FL had a very nice finish to his high school career, scoring 10 or more points in 11 of his last 15 games. The 6’3″ guard was very reliable for Choctaw last regular season which included the Sun Bash Tampa in January. That week, he was the best performer for his side and hit a clutch jumper to force overtime in the opening tilt with IMG Blue and pull out the win (video). Matthews averaged 15 PPG, making the All-Tournament Team in the Sun Bash and 12.1 PPG and 4.0 RPG on the season. Point University, Spring Hill and Mobile have all shown interest as of late.
Myles Smith Myles Smith 6'6" | PF Rickards | 2020 State FL is a late riser who could really make a difference at the next level. The 6’5″ wing is rangy and can mix it up inside and outside. He helped plenty with the scrappy defense that Rickards employed to win a Class 5A state title. Smith is someone to track moving forward due to his upside and once he adds muscle, it will fit his athletic body well. He’s drawn interest from Tallahassee Community College, Daytona State, Thomas University and Chipola College.
Noah Dubose always plays with poise. The 6’2″ guard was a major factor for Booker as a senior, averaging 10.0 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 3.8 APG and 3.3 SPG. Always active and playing with energy and consistent push in transition, he has drawn interest from Division III Plattsburgh State and NAIA Florida College. Dubose is a hard worker and someone who doubles as a leader on and off the court.
Bennett Anderson Bennett Anderson 6'2" | SF Jesuit | 2020 State FL has been a core leader for Jesuit the past two seasons. The 6’2″ guard is highly productive on the floor and he’s able to lead his well formed group. He can shoot the mid-range jumper, drive to the hoop and he’s a highly underrated athlete. Anderson is fresh off a senior campaign where he averaged 13.5 PPG and 5.0 RPG which featured 23 games in double digits including a season-high of 25 points against Mitchell. A Division III program would be an ideal fit for him.
