Many players continue to standout, lead their teams and leave a legacy proving that they are one of the top players in the area. The players below have stepped up big time for their respective teams while making a name for themselves.
Fifth Team:
Sr. Jack Andre, Jesuit – Another high academic player who plays hard on both ends of the court. Andrew is a dynamic big man who can run the floor, crash the boards, play quality defense but most impressively, shoot the three-ball efficiently. Another quality player who is a sleeper and still does not have a home for next year.
Sr. Davell Brown Davell Brown 6'4" | SF Grant | 2020 State CA-N , Grant – The senior forward was an instrumental player for the Pacers. A quality player who loves to compete. Brown ended his senior outing with 9.1 points, 1.7 assists, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.3 steals. Brown did a lot of the little things for the Pacers.
Jr. Max Petrenko Max Petrenko 6'5" | PF Placer | 2021 State CA-N , Placer – Expect a big season year out of Petrenko. The 6-foot-6 junior is a big-time player who dominated the opposing team all season long. In twenty-seven games, Petrenko averaged a double-double for the Hillmen with 21.7 points, 1.8 assists, 10.1 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 1.9 blocks. A standout year who should be recruited well when it is all said and done.
Sr. Donovan Lopez Donovan Lopez 6'0" | SG Rocklin | 2020 State CA-N , Rocklin – Another senior who stepped up big time and the outcome was great. An aggressive guard who can really shoot the ball and loves to push the ball in transition to get to the rack. Lopez is a physical defender as he can also rebound really well.
Jr. Jarod Webb, Florin – A scrappy guard who plays hard. Webb was a big player for the Panthers helping them to a 9-1 conference record. The 5-foot-11 guard is shifty with the ball and loves to put it on the floor to create for himself off the dribble or blow by defenders and get to the rack.
Jr. Davion Wright Davion Wright 6'3" | SG Franklin | 2022 CA-N , Franklin – Wright is a competitor. The junior is a knockdown shooter and when he gets hot, it is very tough to contain him. Wright continues to get better and he is likely to have a standout senior season.
