<p>Prep Hoops takes a trip to the Upstate to visit Spartanburg County. Several talented players will graduate this year from the here. The cupboard is far from bare up here that's for sure. Breazeale a jet quick point guard averaged  9.8 ppg and 5.2 assists this season for the Cavaliers. Breazeale started his career at Greenville Tech before coming over to Dorman HS. Canty is always in the right position on the floor to defend the ball. Canty will handle the ball up the floor at times for the Rebels. Thiele needs time and space to set his feet for his shot. </p> [caption id="attachment_969279" align="alignnone" width="300"] Zay Foster[/caption] <p>Zay Foster (2021) - Dorman HS </p> <p>Foster a left-handed combo guard recently transferred over to Dorman HS after playing this season at Spartanburg HS. Foster a quarterback should compete for the starting job this season for the Cavaliers. Wannemaker averaged 10.2 ppg this past season for the Vikings (17-10). </p> [caption id="attachment_878604" align="alignnone" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="746991" first="Bryson" last="Bishop"][/caption] <p>[player_tooltip player_id="746991" first="Bryson" last="Bishop"] (2021) - Spartanburg Christian </p> <p>Bishop helped the Warriors win the SCISA Class 2A State Championship this past February over Bethesda (Savannah, GA). Bishop has the ability to make big-time shots and plays the game with a lot of confidence. Bishop averaged 16.5 ppg, 4.1 assists and 2.8 rebounds this past season. Comer 6'8 has good hands in the post and has the ability to play with his back to the basket. </p> [caption id="attachment_969498" align="alignnone" width="300"] D'Yon Bartley[/caption] <p>D'Yon Bartley (2021) - Woodruff HS </p> <p>Bartley a combo guard played with a a lot of poise on the floor. Kimbrell plays 3 sports for the Knights including Football and Baseball. Kimbrell averaged 17.6 ppg and 8.2 rebounds this season for the Knights. Smith 6'7 plays hard and isn't afraid to mix it up at times in the paint with his slender frame. Smith averaged 15.6 ppg and 8 rebounds this season. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="927578" first="Sam" last="Wheeler"] (2021) - Spartanburg Christian </p> <p>Wheeler transferred in from Shannon Forest Christian Academy last fall. Burgess a slender forward has the ability to run the floor and fill lane the lane in transition. Hawkins has the ability to see the floor and get to the basket. Clowney has the ability to finish and rebound around the basket. Clowney runs the floor very well and has plenty of good basketball in front of him. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="650234" first="Jordyn" last="Surratt"] (2022) - Dorman HS </p> <p>Surratt is a very versatile player on the floor for the Cavaliers. Surratt brings great energy to the game when he's on the floor. Surratt rebounds the ball on both ends of the floor and really defends very well on the perimeter. McManus plays well beyond his years while on the floor. McManus is a very heady player and crafty with the ball. Brown has good length and is extremely active in the passing lanes. Valentine has really good bounce and seems most comfortable from 6-8 feet with his shot. Dugat also excels on the gridiron as a Defensive Tackle/Offensive Tackle and runs track and field in the spring. Choice really likes to work the floater in the lane. Choice will be relied on more this coming season with [player_tooltip player_id="751279" first="Isayah" last="Owens"] and [player_tooltip player_id="567790" first="Jayden" last="Byrd"] both graduating. </p> <p>Brady Poole (2024) - Chesnee HS </p> <p>Poole seems to be the future for the Eagles basketball program and Head Coach Andy Pitt. Poole 5'10 has the ability to hit the 3 ball on the perimeter. Poole scored 13 points vs Southside HS in a game this season. Poole averaged 4.6 ppg this season in 26 games played. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
