Ben Bowen Ben Bowen 6'5" | CG Mountain Vista | 2021 State CO | Mountain Vista
Bowen, a junior this year is one of those players who will take on more of a leading role in the 2020-2021 season after several seniors graduating including their leading scorer in Reece Kelly Reece Kelly 6'2" | CG Mountain Vista | 2020 State CO . Bowen as a junior averaged 16.5 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 3.4 APG, 1.1 SPG while shooting 57% from inside the arc (97/170). He has good size and is able to impact the game several different ways, he has a great sense of the game, strong ball handling skills, can score in a verity of different ways and is a strong defender. In their last game of the season, Bowen had 27 points, five rebounds, and five assists against Rangeview in a sweet sixteen loss. He will take on more of a lead role this upcoming year with Reece Kelly Reece Kelly 6'2" | CG Mountain Vista | 2020 State CO and a few other seniors graduating, it’ll be fun to see how he takes on that role. He is a complete player who gets it done on both ends of the court.
Greyson Carter Greyson Carter 6'4" | SF Fairview | 2021 State CO | Fairview
Carter, the 6’4 wing had a strong junior season for the Knights, putting up 17.5 PPG, 7.9 RPG, 1.7 SPG leading the team in both categories. He does the majority of his damage from inside the three-point arc, shooting 63% from two, going 149/238 on the season. He is a good foul shooter as well, shooting 72% on the year (85/118). He has strong footwork down low in the post and is able to take his defender off the dribble on the wing as well, he is crafty in the paint with several different strong post moves. He has nice touch on the ball and is a solid rebounder on both end of the court. Fairview had several seniors graduate, it will be interesting to see how Carter does next year as more of the focal point with Page and some other guys no longer there.
Ben Hageman Ben Hageman 6'3" | PF Windsor | 2021 State CO | Windsor
Windsor finished the season 16-9 overall and ended up loosing to Vista Peak in the second round of the playoffs. Hageman led the way in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 15.9 PPG, 8.1 RPG, 2.8 APG, 1.6 SPG while shooting 63% from inside the three-point arc (148/234). Hageman does a nice job of making quick decisions and attacks the rim with force. He has been a contributor ever since his sophomore season and should be in for a monster senior season with a lot of the core coming back. He is also a very solid defender and rebounder which often leads to quick points on the other end for himself or a teammate. Keep an eye on him next season.
Taeshaud Johnson Taeshaud Johnson 6'1" | PG Colorado Prep | 2021 CO Jr. | Dakota Ridge
The high flying 6’5 wing averaged a double-double this year for Dakota Ridge at 15.7 PPG and 11.6 RPG as well as 4.2 APG and 1.7 SPG. He led the team in all those stat categories this past season and will look to take his game to the next level by improving his jump shot to be more consistent. He shot 54% from two-point range this season, a lot of that coming from inside the paint, we also shot 71% from the foul-line which he was there often with his down hills style of play (84/118). Jackson creates problems on the defensive side of the ball for many teams with his size, strength and relentless attack of the rim as well as his ability to impact the game on defense.
Amondo Miller Amondo Miller 6'6" | CG Valor Christian | 2021 State CO | Valor Christian
Valor had a very strong year and will look to build off of that going into the 2020-2021 season with several returning players. In the backcourt, Miller will be back who averaged 12.1 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 2.8 APG, 1.1 SPG and led the team in points this past season. He is a good size guard at 6’5 who has strong handles and excellent vision as well, he creates problems for other teams who can’t match his size and ability at the guard position. He shot 56% from inside the arc (97/173), improving his shooting will be a big step going forward for him and will make his game that much tougher to defend. Valor did have several key seniors end up graduating this year (Beers, Unruh, Bott and Rosengarten) all four had solid senior years. Miller and Kula are the two returning juniors who played the most, it’ll be fun to see how they both grow into more leading roles.
Cade Palmer Cade Palmer 5'11" | CG Rangeview | 2021 State CO | Rangeview
Palmer is a player who sometimes gets overlooked because Rangeview has been such a solid overall team for the past two plus years with lots of depth and talent. As a junior this past season he averaged 10.4 PPG, 1.7 APG while shooting 44% from distance (66/149) and I truly believe he is going to have a breakout season next year. He is a talented shooter who can create on his own as well does a great job of moving without the ball to get open looks. Besides Palmer, Foster is the only other junior seeing major minutes for them this past season, with over five key seniors graduating this year. It will be fun to see how his senior year plays out, I will take a wild guess and say he’s going to be averaging at least 15 PPG next season as one of the main leaders.
Boston Stanton Boston Stanton 6'4" | SG Denver East | 2021 State CO | Denver East
Denver East has a very promising future with the young talented roster they have going forward even after a few key seniors graduate this spring. Stanton is one of those bright young players, as a junior he averaged 21.0 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 2.7 APG, 1.2 SPG while shooting 37% from three (57/153) and 58% from two-point range (109/188). He is a guard that can score from all three levels and does a nice job of taking what the defense will give him. He is able to post up smaller guards, take slower guards off the dribble and has strong footwork when in the paint. He was one of my favorite players to watch this season and should be in for big senior year leading the way.
Jeremiah Warren | Hinkley
Warren averaged 14.8 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 1.4 SPG shooting 36% from long range as a junior for Hinkley. His 14.8 points per game led the team in scoring this season, he shot 43% from two-point range (86/201). He’s a crafty guard that can create on his own and is able to score from all three levels. Warren will have a lot on his shoulders next season after the second and third leading scorers graduated this spring. It will be fun to see how he rounds into that role.
