With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2023 Guards in Brycen Neidigh, Isaac Higgs Isaac Higgs 6'2" | PG Evansville Reitz | 2023 State IN , and Jarell Williams.
Brycen Neidigh – 6’2 SG 2023 – Washington (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Brycen is a tall guard who can really shoot the ball. Has real smooth shot and can let it fly when he wants to. As he gets further in his HS/College career, he’s going to be built more around the wing. However, he does have enough handles to create his own jumper. Really his main area of improvement would be his strength as he not the strongest guard yet. May need to get just a tad faster too. Other than the basic improvements, Brycen is one of the better shooters in the entire state. He should get looks from the next level just on his shooting ability alone.

– 6’0 PG 2023 – Evansville Reitz (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: This is one of the toughest guards in all of the 2023 class. Pretty tall and pretty strong already for the most part. Handles the ball at a high level and is real good at knocking down jumpers. Good off the catch and the pull-up. As he gets into the next few years, he is going to be relied on more and more to control an offense have the ball in his hands. Just needs to hit the weight room some more. Overall, Higgs is on track to be one of the top guards in the state by his junior/senior year.
Jarell Williams – 5’10 PG 2023 – South Bend Career (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Williams is a solid lead guard that drives to the rim in a strong manner. Has a ton of speed, especially when he has the space to run the floor. Really pushes the tempo of the game when he is able to run. Has a solid jumper but needs to work on hitting it a consistent pace. Also may need to work on controlling himself at times and not just have a “go,go,go” mentality. Williams does have the size and potential to be a great guard in the state. Clean up a few things, work on getting better and you might have a top PG in the 2023 class.
