With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2023 Guards in Anthony Dancler Anthony Dancler 6'2" | SG Southport | 2023 State IN , Ian Stephens, and Devon Woods.

– 6’1 PG 2023 – Southport (IN)
Stats: 16.3 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.3 apg, 36% 3pt
Thoughts: Dancler is a solid guard with some touch as a perimeter shooter. He has a really solid release on his jumper. He has a little more of a push shot right now, but it is repeatable and consistent. He can get a little too overzealous and take some bad shots, so he needs to reel that in a bit. He is big and tough and can be a pain to try and defend with the ball in his hands.
Ian Stephens – 6’0 SG 2023 – New Palestine (IN)
Thoughts: Ian is a thin guard with a solid lefty stroke. His release is a little slow and will need to quicken, but he can shoot well. He is really comfortable off the catch right now. It will be interesting to see if he can get to where he is creating into his jumper.
Devon Woods – 5’7 PG 2023 – Indianapolis Pike (IN)
Stats: 2.8 ppg, 0.5 rpg, 0.5 apg
Thoughts: Devon is a smaller guard who can really make plays. He has showcased a solid mid-range jumper and was mixing in some floaters as well. He had good touch on everything and used his body well to create space. He still needs to find a few more inches if possible, but he didn’t back down and was plenty offensively capable of knocking down some perimeter shots too.
