James Shiers James Shiers 7'1" | C Mead | 2022 State CO – Mead
James “JP” Shiers claims his spot as the tallest player in the class of 2022 standing at 6’10. This height was a helping force for Mead and their 25-0 run. That height helps him be a force on the defensive end blocking shots in the paint. Also he pulled down 6.5 rebounds per game, using good footwork to box out opposing players. James has a solid set of skills to build his game around for the future and is in a good spot at number 7 in our rankings.
Derik Pranger Derik Pranger 6'8" | SF Colorado Prep | 2022 State CO – Arapahoe
Derik Pranger Derik Pranger 6'8" | SF Colorado Prep | 2022 State CO is a lengthy big man who showed some promise in his sophomore season. He showed his ability to play the stretch four position with his ability to shoot from the outside. Derik also did a good job using his length to block shots on the defensive end. He is a good threat off the dribble and with his back to the basket. Derik is a player with a lot of potential, who if he bulks up will be a really good big man.
Trevea Bolden- FNE
Trevea Bolden may just be the best defender out any of the big men in the class. Trevea uses his lengthy body, at 6’7, to block 1.9 shots a game; combined with the length he is also a good athlete who can step out and stay with guards. He also uses his athleticism to finish with dunks at the rim. Trevea with being such a great defender and good rebounder gives him a good base to build his game around, once he works on his offensive game he could be a great prospect.
Aidin Carnevale- Legend
Aidin Carnevale is someone who did not see much varsity time this year but will be a player to know soon. Aidin in the off season showed off his good footwork down low being able to post up players for easy lay ups. He is also a good rebounder who uses that good footwork to box out down low. He also can spread the floor and shoot from mid range. Expect to see Aidin hop on the scene soon, he has a good set of skills and good height at 6’8.
Kaleb Mitchell Kaleb Mitchell 6'9" | C Denver Prep | 2022 AZ – Fountain Fort Carson
Kaleb Mitchell Kaleb Mitchell 6'9" | C Denver Prep | 2022 AZ is another true big man standing at 6’9. Kaleb is a great shot blocker, looking at game footage you can see his natural instincts when going for blocks. He may not have seen a ton of playing time this year but more then made his impact on the defensive end and being able to pull down rebounds. Also using his height he can score at the rim over smaller defenders. Kaleb with his good frame will be a good player to look out for in coming years.
