No. 13 – Malik Reneau Malik Reneau 6'7" | PF Montverde Academy | 2022 State #33 Nation FL is a problem. Averaging 20.5 PPG for Mater Academy this season, he was beyond impressive in a City of Palms Sunshine State Classic showcase game against Evangelical Christian, scoring 27 points and hauling in 14 rebounds. The 6’7″ big multifaceted man is a fierce competitor and someone who can really attack the bucket with ease. His long arms and power help him score in bunches and grab boards. Reneau has offeres from Miami, Oklahoma State and FIU and interest from UCF.
No. 14 – Prince Mosengo Prince Mosengo 6'9" | PF Keystone Athletic Academy | 2022 State PA hails from the Republic of Congo but has made the most of his arrival to the United States just a few years ago. He’s earned interest from Arizona State, Texas Tech and USF and has shown plenty of upside and potential as a bonafide big man. At 6’8″, Mosengo is already very developed in his upper body and that alone will make him a true x-factor moving forward against opposing teams.
No. 15 – Taylor Hendricks Taylor Hendricks 6'9" | PF Calvary Christian (FL) | 2022 State #124 Nation FL could easily be Top 10 in these newest rankings with his clear progressions over the last year. At 6’8″, he averaged 14.2 PPG and 8.6 RPG and proved he can be a true standout night in and night out as he reached the double-digit point mark in all but four games. Hendricks is not done growing and his body is still filling out, but he is a jumpy defender and a reliable inside stretch player. He has offers from Miami, USF, FSU, Wake Forest, UF and Iowa State already.
No. 16 – Abdou-Halil Barre Abdou-Halil Barre 6'8" | C Scotland Campus | 2022 State FL is a name to remember for the long haul. The 6’8″ power forward earned his first offer from Illinois on Saturday. Gonzaga, Virginia Tech and Villanova have all shown interest in him as well. Barre was born in Africa but grew up in Paris before arriving in the United States. After a few years in New York, he made his way down to Montverde to play for Montverde CBD and he’s been a standout on defense providing endless tenacity and protection near the rim as a towering presence. His offensive game is still transforming but it is obvious that his untapped potential is just getting started.
No. 22 – Ben Middlebrooks is one of the most locked in and focus players I’ve seen in quite some time. He plays consistently hard, can flat out shoot it and his big frame and size help him grab boards over almost anyone in his way. The 6’10” Middlebrooks averaged 17.5 PPG and 13.1 PPG and is someone who is rock solid on both ends of the floor. He proved his worth as a freshman, posting 18 points and 17 rebounds in Westminster’s third straight state championship win. Wake Forest, Iowa State, UF, USF and FGCU have all offered.
No. 23 – Ernest Udeh Ernest Udeh 6'10" | C Dr. Phillips | 2022 State #48 Nation FL is someone who is going to be a dominant force sooner rather than later. Still maturing his all-around offensive game, Udeh is a true asset defensively as a shot-blocker and a traffic controller. The 6’9″ center isn’t afraid to absorb contact and it shows. Udeh is getting stronger in his upper body and will be just fine as long as he develops his game further. USF represents his lone offer.
No. 27 – Justin Abson Justin Abson 6'9" | PF North Broward Prep | 2022 State #230 Nation FL had himself a fine year for North Broward Prep, averaging 15.9 PPG and 12.7 RPG as a sophomore. The 6’8″ center had 10 or more points in all but three games with his best performance coming against Miami Country Day where he totaled 27 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks. Abson has very good foot speed and it helps him flash on both ends. Plus his offensive game is already there with his lengthy body helping him along the way. Stetson represents his lone offer from back in December.
