With the AAU season being put on hold these players won’t get the opportunity to showcase their skills. This group ranges from 6’5 to 6’8, effective in the post, and couple of them can play the inside/out game.
Leo Wagner Leo Wagner 6'5" | SF West Campus | 2022 State CA-N 6’5, West Campus (Sacramento CA)
Wagner plays an exceptional game in the post area. He averaged 20.4 ppg, 9 rebs. He has a solid body and will get stronger. He has good balance, active hands, and good footwork on the block. He has shown that over time he’ll be able to knock down the three. He uses his body well down on the block defending bigger players, and will block a shot or two. A good rebounder and floor runner.
Franlys Arias Franlys Arias 6'6" | PF Brookside Christian | 2022 CA-S 6’6, (Stockton CA)
He uses good footwork and works well around the basket. He has a good soft touch and puts it high on the backboard to finish with either hand. His long arms and good positioning on defense enables him to alter shots, and get a good number of rebounds. He makes good outlet passes to start the transition break. He averaged 8.4 ppg, 8.4 rebs. He has a good frame, add more muscle his stock will rise.
Johnathon Cole Webster Cole Webster 6'8" | PF Jesse Bethel | 2022 NV 6’8, Bethel (Vallejo CA)
An intriguing prospect, inside/out or just outside? He has a lot of upside in what he may be able to accomplish on the court. He’s long and slender with the ability to shoot corner 3’s. His handles allow him to push in transition and have some success attacking on the wings. He makes good decisions with the ball. His long arms gets him deflections on defense. His rebounding is an area of concern. Keep an eye on this player.
Majer Sullivan 6’7 Antelope, (Antelope CA)
An aggressive player with a big growing body that he’s learning how to use to his advantage. His offensive skill set isn’t there yet, but he has carved out a way to make his presence known on the court. He’s a better finisher off of two feet right now. He actively roams the paint looking to block or change shots. 6.6 ppg, 5.5 rebs, 1.4 blk. I will have to see more.
Vince Barringer Vince Barringer 6'7" | PF St. Francis | 2022 State CA-N 6’6, Saint Francis ( Mountain View CA)
From an offensive standpoint Barringer looks like he could develop into a good spot up shooter, his ability to knock down 3’s from the wings and the corners prevents defenders from slacking off to far. He has shown he can put it on the floor for a dribble or two to get inside. His footwork and post defense needs to improve.
Marcellus Franklin Marcellus Franklin 6'6" | PF Sheldon | 2022 State CA-N 6’5, Sacramento (Sacramento CA)
There’s always a glue guy, Marcellus seems to fill that role, but his offensive skill set is improving. Franklin’s a strong rebounder who can be lead ball handler in transition, He sees the floor and makes good passes. He can get to the rim and finish through contact, he has a good feel for the game. He’s a solid defender and works on both ends of the court.
