Unsigned seniors in the 2020 class are having a very hard time getting seen which is evident, but the 2021 class is losing out the most. The juniors soon to be seniors are heading into their most crucial summer of travel ball and then high school season following.
With that being said, here is a look at ‘Part 3’ of some 2021 prospects names to know.

2021: Names To Know (Part 2)
Xavier Washington Xavier Washington 6'6" | PF Palmetto | 2021 State FL (Palmetto)
Not to be confused with Miami Palmetto, Palmetto near Bradenton has a very intriguing junior forward in Washington. The 6’7″ lengthy athlete has recently drawn interest from the likes of UNC Asheville, Rice, Virginia Military Institute (VMI). He certainly made his presence felt this past season for the Tigers averaging 18.0 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 2.0 BPG and 1.8 SPG. From mid-January on (10 games), Washington had just game under 10 points and two games under 20 points, the other eight, he averaged 25.8 PPG. His season-high was a 30-point outing against Southeast. Most impressively, he shot 66 percent from the field and 39 percent from long range on the year. Washington is a riser in the 2021 class.
Landon Howard Landon Howard 6'3" | CG Canterbury | 2021 State FL (Fort Myers)
Perhaps one of the more underrated shooters in the Fort Myers/Naples area, the 6’4″ Howard made the move from Evangelical Christian to Fort Myers. Off the bench, his jumper proved to be very key for his squad. He averaged 7.3 PPG on the season before suffering an injury in the playoffs. His 15-point performance (7-of-11 shooting) against Sarasota Riverview was fun to watch. His energy and willingness to get better is evident. He’s a bloomer and will be a core starter in the fall.
Bryce Turner Bryce Turner 6'5" | SF Andrew Jackson | 2021 State FL (Sandalwood)
This is a highly gifted and intelligent athlete. The 6’6″ Turner is a versatile forward who moves around in set plays and near the basket. He can get up on dunks, speed down the floor and shoot the mid-range. His long arms allow him to get past defenders and finish inside often. At Sandalwood, he’s shown true leadership and upside. If he continues to fill out his frame, he will be on his way. Colleges should take notice.
Raphael Houssou Raphael Houssou 6'2" | CG Sagemont | 2021 State FL (Sagemont)
At Weston Sagemont, the 6’1″ Houssou is a legitimate two-way player. He is a tough nosed defender who doesn’t shy away from anyone and he can get to the basket with his skilled handles and good burst. He likes to go downhill on defenses and his foot speed is something that always stands out to me. He stays focused game in and game out and he will make a college very happy as a true scoring point man.
Henry Hughes Henry Hughes 6'5" | PF Tampa Bay Tech | 2021 State FL (Tampa Bay Tech)
Doubling as a defensive end for Tampa Bay Tech (15 D1 football offers including Iowa State, Indiana and Illinois), the 6’6″ Hughes is a heads up rebounder and a true inside presence. He also runs track. I like his ability to slash and get to the cup often. His upper body strength helps him bully defenders and his high IQ makes his teammates better. Hughes can certainly add more muscle this off-season and improve his jumper but he serves a key role down low and can score points in bunches.
