Either way, if these prospects don’t go D-I, they can still be impactful pieces right away at the D-II level. Here are some players that should become a priority as last second diamonds in the rough.

The well-traveled lefty has proven to be one of the best shooters in Georgia year-after-year. Brown heats up in a hurry from beyond the arc and once he sees a few shots drop, his confidence rises and he starts attacking the basket. Brown has good instincts on the perimeter defensively and gets into passing lanes often.

Rod Jones

Jones is a hard-playing combo guard out of South Georgia. He’s an aggressive player that attacks both on offense and defense. Jones does a good job of getting downhill and finishing through contact. He averaged 22 points per game and has a smooth jumper to boot. His on-ball defense and tenacity helps him standout. He has an offer from Albany State and interest from JUCOs. Prep school may be his route if more offers don’t materialize.

might be the most polished scorer available in Georgia. He is a three-level bucket-getter that gets a good chunk of his points in transition. Hardy doesn’t jump off the screen with his athleticism or size but there’s something to be said about his consistent production and mean streak on the floor. He holds a 3.7 GPA, 1010 SAT and 21 ACT.

had some fanfare early on in his career and even picked up an offer from Georgia State back in October 2017, but for some reason his recruitment and popularity fell off. While he may not have the plethora of D-I offers that it may have looked like he would have at this point in his career, his production has never waned and is now one of the better sleepers available. Longstreet averaged 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3.4 assists as a big, strong versatile playmaker.
6-4 Caleb Golden – Shiloh
It didn’t take long for Caleb Golden to make an immediate impact at Shiloh. The Texas-native averaged 19.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists, helping propel the Generals into the land of the elites. Golden is a well-rounded player that has an accurate outside shot to power his arsenal. Golden is strong enough to finish at the rim and defensively can guard multiple positions. He maintains a 3.5 GPA and 1120 SAT. Don’t be surprised if he ends up on a D-I roster.

play in person but the sharpshooter from South Georgia made waves his senior year as Valdosta improved from 12-15 to 24-4, Brown upping his production from 12.5 points per game to 19.5. How did he do it? Brown is an elite three-point shooter with legit NBA range. He pulls and hits from way beyond the arc and does so with great accuracy, nailing 75-181 (41%). The southpaw is creative with the dribble too, able to create separation on drives and pull-up from the mid-range. Ricky can get to the rim and finish with authority. Brown is definitely worth some looks.
