WODE, run by super motivator Jermaine Seagers runs camps, workouts, and games, highlighting some of the best youth talent in the city. In this article, PH takes a look at some of the top prospects from the c/o 2022 game.
Christian Martin 6’2 SG Sierra Vista – Every time I see this kid play, he balls out. Has quietly smooth game. Not elite at any one skill but good at several.
Shane Thomas Shane Thomas 6'3" | SG Durango | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG Centennial (#12PHN) – I haven’t seen Thomas play in almost 6 months, but he’s come back like a man on a mission. The lefty is showing elite-level hops, is shooting it with confidence and just looks the part. Reality is Thomas is an enormous sleeper at 12. He’s certainly a player with an opportunity to rise during the spring.
Sylis Gray Sylis Gray 6'3" | SG Bonanza | 2022 State NV 6’3 SF Clark – A more polished version of Martin. Gray showed his athleticism, slashing and scoring ability. Wiry strong wing that gets buckets in a variety of ways.
Andrick Santillan Andrick Santillan 6'4" | SG Cheyenne | 2022 State NV 6’4 SG Cheyenne (#5PHN) – When Santillan is good, he’s really good. Dude was sniping all over the court. His release has gotten quicker, and he’s shown the ability to shoot it with range. Where he becomes special is if he can continue to improve his playmaking skills.
Joshua Jefferson Joshua Jefferson 6'8" | PF Liberty | 2022 State #158 Nation NV 6’7 SF Liberty 2022 (#3PHN) – Joshua Jefferson Joshua Jefferson 6'8" | PF Liberty | 2022 State #158 Nation NV is an absolute stud. Looks the part, and has the game to back it up. Looks as if the switch went on, and he’s figured out he’s simply more talented than everyone else. Super skilled forward with dancers’ feet, and an underrated layup package. Jefferson looks really comfortable stretching the floor and handling the ball in the open court.
