Updated 2022 Rankings Overview
Here’s a broad overview of our updated class of 2022 rankings, taking a look at some of the trends we’ve seen so far. Stay tuned for the initial 2023 class rankings which we will publish tomorrow!
CHANGES IN THE TOP-10
Darren Buchanan Jr. Darren Buchanan Jr. 6'7" | PF Woodrow Wilson | 2022 State #101 Nation MD , the DCIAA Player of the Year, takes over the #1 overall spot. The scary part is that he still has plenty of room to grow. Cam Whitmore reinforced his credentials as a top-five prospect this season and moves up to #4 as a result. Wise guard Trey Thomas Trey Thomas 6'3" | PG Wise | 2022 MD rounds out the updated top-10.

#11 | CJ SCOTT | 6’4 SG/SF | ARCHBISHOP SPALDING | PREVIOUS RANK: 23
Scott found many ways to impact the game for a young but much-improved Spalding team. He showed that he will do whatever it takes to get wins.
#20 | DYLAN BRONNER | 6’4 SG | GEORGETOWN DAY | PREVIOUS RANK: NR
Bronner is a new but intriguing face we saw on the trail this season. He brings good positional size to go along with his growing skillset.
#31 | JARED TURNER | 6’5 SG | GONZAGA | PREVIOUS RANK: 49
Turner, one of the best shooters in the class, is currently going through a growth spurt. At about 6-foot-6 now, it will be interesting to see how he looks once he fully grows into his body.
#37 | TYHEIL PETERSON | 5’10 PG | ARCHBISHOP SPALDING | PREVIOUS RANK: 55
Peterson is another productive young player coming up in the Spalding program. He is a plus defender who can consistently break down the defense off the dribble and either score or make plays.
#38 | WARREN MOUGANDA | 6’2 SG | ST. VINCENT PALLOTTI | PREVIOUS RANK: 48
Mouganda is a physically gifted guard with a ton of upside. His opportunities should increase next year therefore he appears poised for an even bigger breakout.
