Dowar Jioklow Dowar Jioklow 6'8" | PF Olympus Prep | 2021 State NJ | 6’8” PF | Flint Hill (#14 Overall)
Jioklow is a very under the radar forward that has a mix of ball skills and athleticism that makes him tough to match up with. He’s a guy who can grab a defensive rebound and start the break, he’s a good passer and he has good touch out to the three-point line as well. When he’s locked in and playing with a high motor he can dominate the glass and get buckets without plays being ran for him as well.
Sasha Glushkov Sasha Glushkov 6'11" | C Blue Ridge | 2020 State VA | 6’11” | Blue Ridge (#21 Overall)
The Russian native is a unique prospect who would fit perfectly in the right system as a stretch five at the next level. He’s filled out nicely since he came over but still needs to add bulk to his frame but he’s got great perimeter skills including the ability to shoot it from deep at a high clip, make good passes from the high post and run the floor well. His best basketball is likely still ahead of him and he’s already shown improvement which is a good sign moving forward.
Ismael Plet Ismael Plet 6'7" | PF VES | 2020 State VA | 6’8” | VES (#23 Overall)
Plet has been a very productive guy that has shown improvement over the past four years at VES and is starting to see his recruitment pick up with a recent offer from Presbyterian. A strong and physical big man that is a big time leaper, Plet is able to control the paint against guys bigger than him by using his strength and he can protect the paint defensively as well. He’s a good finisher through traffic and can step out and put it on the deck as well.
Klemen Vuga Klemen Vuga 6'9" | PF Virginia Episcopal | 2020 State VA | 6’9” | VES (#26 Overall)
Vuga plays with Plet but he’s a totally different type of big man than he is. Vuga is an international style big that has great perimeter skills to go along with his size and causes mismatches with his ability to put it on the deck and shoot the deep ball. He’s an inside out guy that can create shots for himself and make good passes, and he’s still adjusting to the style of basketball over here so his best basketball is likely in front of him.
Karl Chavis Karl Chavis 6'5" | PF Oscar Smith | 2020 State VA | 6’6” | Oscar Smith (#27 Overall)
Chavis is the perfect type of guy for a team that likes to play small ball as he’s a versatile forward who can play on the wing and in the post. He’s a big time athlete that can make plays at the rim on both ends of the floor, he can guard multiple positions and he can stretch the floor with his ability to make open shots. He still has room to get better and he plays with a great motor and lives in the gym as well.
Khaliyl Davis Khaliyl Davis 6'6" | PF Woodrow Wilson | 2020 State VA | 6’6” | Woodrow Wilson (#31 Overall)
Davis is a guy who may need another year to continue to fill out and continue to develop but he has a lot of tools you can’t teach. He’s an athletic freak that gets off of his feet very well to rebound and protect the rim, he runs the floor like a gazelle and he’s very good as a catch and finisher above the rim. He’s a guy who is a late bloomer and will continue to get better moving forward.
Logan Washington Logan Washington 6'6" | PF Life Christian | 2020 State VA | 6’6” | Life Christian Academy (#42 Overall)
Washington is one of the most under appreciated big men in the state after helping LCA to back-to-back VISAA D3 state championships. He may not be the tallest post but he plays much bigger than he is as he’s an elite shot blocker with great timing that can get off his feet quickly and jump multiple times before others can. He’s strong and athletic, he’s a great rebounder and finishes in the paint well and he is a low maintenance guy that plays within himself regularly.
Elijah Roye | 6’7” | Carmel School (#48 Overall)
A native of Canada Roye came to Carmel School as a junior and helped turn the upstart program into a contender that reached the VISAA D3 Final Four this year. He’s a big bodied guy with an intriguing skill set that includes the ability to shoot it out to 18 feet and he can score in both face up and post up situations. He’s another guy whose best basketball is probably in front of him.
