Chaunce Jenkins Chaunce Jenkins 6'3" | SG Menchville | 2020 State VA | 6’4” | Menchville (#18 Overall)
Jenkins is quickly becoming one of the hottest prospects in the 2020 class after his rapid improvement over the past two seasons. Not only has he sprouted to a legit 6’4” and grown into his body making him much more athletic, he’s also improved his shot making ability from deep and has shown a motor on both ends that coaches will love. He’s physically and athletically ready to play in college now and still has room to get better, and he recently picked up an offer from Wichita State.
Jamal Barnes Jamal Barnes 6'3" | SF St. Stephen's St. Agnes | 2020 State VA | 6’3” WG | St. Stephen’s St. Agnes (#33 Overall)
Barnes was a big part of the Saints’ state championship run as a junior and stepped up even more his senior season helping them get back to the state championship game before losing to PVI. He’s a strong and savvy wing who makes the right play consistently, can make shots from deep when left open and can play multiple roles for a team. His resume and the level of play he’s faced his high school career bolds well for him moving forward.
Sese Mobutu Sese Mobutu 6'2" | SG Olympus Prep | 2021 State NJ | 6’2” | Bishop Ireton (#34 Overall)
Mobutu is one of the most underrated players in the WCAC over the past few years and he has an intriguing mix of athleticism, strength and skill set. He’s quick and strong with the ball in his hands, he has deep range off the catch and he’s a big time athletic finisher in transition and in traffic. He plays with a great motor and makes winning plays as well and is a guy that scholarship programs should be all over.
Misha Zuribashvilli Misha Zuribashvilli 6'6" | SF Bishop Sullivan | 2020 State VA | 6’6” | Catholic HS (#41 Overall)
Zuribashvilli is a native of Georgia (the country) and came into the States lighting guys up. After transferring from Holy Cross to Catholic, he quickly became one of the best shooters in the 757 and with his size and quick release he’s able to get shots up over top of guys and doesn’t need much space to get it off. He’s also solid at attacking closeouts and moves well without the basketball.
Bradley Dean Bradley Dean 6'2" | SG Gate City | 2020 State VA | 6’2” | Gate City (#51 Overall)
Dean followed in the footsteps of Mac McClung and Zac Ervin becoming Gate City’s go-to guy as a senior and helping lead them to the state championship game before falling to John Marshall. He’s a two guard that plays with a hight motor, is an athletic finisher and a good rebounder for his size but he really shines as a deep threat that can stretch the defense. He has good range and good confidence in his shot and has a lot of D2 schools interested in him for that reason.
James Wallace III James Wallace III 6'3" | SF Henrico | 2020 State VA | 6’4” | Henrico (#53 Overall)
Wallace had a breakout year at Lee-Davis as a sophomore before coming to Henrico and taking a lesser role but helping his team go to the state tournament. He’s a big wing with decent ball skills, he’s a big time leaper that can finish way above the rim and he’s a versatile defender that can guard and play multiple positions as well. He still has a lot he can improve on but he’s a playmaker and versatile guy you can plug and play in different roles.
Jahn Hines Jahn Hines 6'4" | SF Norview | 2020 State VA | 6’4” | Norview (#60 Overall)
Hines capped a great high school career by helping lead Norview to a state championship and he did so by playing out of position for most of the year. The 6’4” wing is extremely long and active, he’s a good leaper that can finish above the rim when he gets downhill and he can make shots from all three levels on the floor. He’s a kid who will do whatever it takes to help you win whether it’s score, defend or help rebound.
Mazae Blake Mazae Blake 6'2" | SG Hargrave | 2020 State VA | 6’2” | Hargrave (#61 Overall)
Blake was mentioned in our “New Faces” article as the transfer from Maryland came to Hargrave and quickly became one of their most consistent perimeter scorers. He’s both athletic and crafty as he can play above the rim but also finds contact and gets to the line often where he shoots it at a very high clip. He comes at you time and time again and can score it both on and off the basketball.
