It was a pleasure to watch this class develop from their freshmen seasons into prize prospects from college programs of all levels. As usual, I’ll handle the prospects located primarily in the Baltimore and immediate surrounding areas for my breakdowns. We move to the wings/forwards who appeared in the 51-100 range.
Curtis Jacobs Curtis Jacobs 6'4" | PF McDonogh | 2020 State MD | 6’4 | McDonogh
Previous ranking:
Current ranking:
Jacobs played only a few games this season for McDonogh. The 6-foot-4 wing will suit up for Penn State on the football field next season after being considered a top linebacker in the country. His presence was certainly missed for the Eagles.
Andrew Mills Andrew Mills 6'5" | SF New Town | 2020 State MD | 6’5 | New Town
Previous ranking: 101
Current ranking: 68
Mills has blossomed into a solid college prospect one year after taking home Baltimore County Player of the Year honors with another productive season as a senior. The 6-foot-5 wing is a threat from beyond the arc, but shown improvement as a play maker off the bounce. He was a consistent presence on the boards as he had to fill a ton of minutes at the center position. Mills’ production, leadership and improvement ultimately landed him an offer from Fairmont State, which he then committed to shortly after.
Cameron Byers Cameron Byers 6'6" | PF Dulaney | 2020 State MD | 6’5 | Dulaney
Previous ranking: 98
Current ranking: 70
Byers experienced a bump in ranking after a statement season with Dulaney. 2021 Ryan Conway Ryan Conway 6'0" | PG Dulaney | 2021 State #111 Nation MD missed ample time this season with a foot injury and Byers was expected to step up. It’s difficult for any player to replace the scoring void left behind by Conway, but Byers certainly upped his production and showcased a much improved three-point shot off the catch. The big body 6-foot-5 forward had consistent effort on the glass and finished well around the rim. He’ll head to East Stroudsburg after getting heavy attention from other Division II and even some low major Division I programs throughout the season.
Jordan Brathwaite Jordan Brathwaite 6'6" | C Glenelg Country | 2020 State MD | 6’7 | Glenelg Country
Previous ranking: 52
Current ranking: 72
Brathwaite catches the eyes of college coaches because of his size, length and ability to make shots from beyond the arc. As a team, Glenelg Country struggled throughout the season as did Brathwaite, but he was able to put together a few solid outings and show his potential. A few Division I programs have inquired and kept in touch about the 6-foot-7 forward, but I think he could benefit tremendously from a post-grad prep year to further develop his body and overall game.
Notable Baltimore prospects just outside the top 100

Ben Murphy Ben Murphy 6'2" | SG Franklin | 2020 State MD | 6’2 | Franklin

Current ranking: 104
Creative scorer off the bounce and efficient shot maker from mid-range. Confident play maker who can improve on the defensive end.
Jordan Strickland Jordan Strickland 6'4" | SF Parkville | 2020 State MD | 6’4 | Parkville
Current ranking: 105
Elite undersized rebounding forward who is a double-double threat every time he takes the floor. Aggressive finisher above the rim and effective presence in transition. Still has to improve on perimeter game considering his size.
Ian Wallace Ian Wallace 6'5" | PF Baltimore Poly | 2020 State MD | 6’7 | Poly
Current ranking: 106
