Westover HS 2021 5’9 Junior Guard Darius Jewell: One of the more underrated players in the entire state, he stepped up big time for Westover this season and proved that he is a scholarship level player. His ability to score off the catch or off the dribble as well as the toughness he brings to the table every single night are attributes that colleges will love.
New Life Christian Senior 5’10 Guard Dahaun Jones: With the departure of numerous seniors from NLCA last season, he knew he would be needed to step into more of a leadership role and that’s exactly what he did. Running the show at the PG spot but also scoring the ball at a nice level, he’s picked up multiple offers from JUCO programs.
Washington HS 5’10 Senior Guard Rashod Smith Rashod Smith 6'0" | PG Washington | 2020 State NC : His High School numbers that he has put up over the past four years has been outstanding! 1900 Points and 700 Assist for a player that many would view as too small should be all the proof that you need. He has a nice natural feel for the game and has played well in his matchups with some of the better PGs in the state.
Eastern Guilford 5’8 Junior Guard Kadyn Dawkins Kadyn Dawkins 5'9" | CG Eastern Guilford | 2021 State NC : All you need to do is take a look at his numbers from this season, especially during the state playoffs. He’s the type of player that seems to show up in big time games and matchups. Numerous games of over 30 points against very good competition and consistent play throughout the year would lead him to being named Conference Player Of The Year.
Pinecrest HS 5’4 Sophomore Guard JJ Goins: One of the more intense players that we saw throughout the year, he doesn’t take plays off and is constantly providing the spark of energy his team needs. The defensive side of the ball is where he makes the most impact by applying pressure which forces opponents into turnovers.
