Continue ReadingJohn A Logan 6’2” sophomore combo guard Eric Boone has continued to see his stock soar throughout the season. The JUCO combo guard is dynamic scoring from all three levels. Comfortable letting it fly from three and gets to the rack equally well with a burst winning in one on one situations. Has the strength to finish through opponents in traffic. Also displays a passing feel dishing to players on the move and getting his guys involved in the half court. This season Boone’s stats are 15.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game. He is shooting 52% from the field overall and 36% from three.
Boone chatted with us about his season at Logan.
“The year has gone pretty well. I am glad I transferred here. I have a good team around me with guys like Jay Scrubb and Trace Young. I try to put them in a position to make plays.”
What does he feel that he does best on the floor?
“Getting to the rim and getting my teammates open.”
His recruitment is really starting to pick up with new interest and offers rolling in.
“TCU, New Mexico State, Eastern Tennessee State, Eastern Tennessee, and a lot of interest.”
What will he be looking or in a school?
“Playing time and somewhere that can get me to the next level.”
At this time he doesn’t have any visits set up or schools he knows he wants to visit.
