“It means a lot. We really wanted a rematch with DeMatha but Bishop Walsh is a great team to play in the championship and we really fought hard. It was a great team win.”
Known for his playmaking abilities at the lead guard position, Hunt has had a terrific senior season thus far as he always plays with high energy and seems to always play key roles on both sides of the ball for Rock Creek.
“I think overall it was great. Definitely an improvement from last year. I think I became a better player and a better leader and I am just proud the way my team helped me grow and the way they let me help them as well.
Rock Creek has one more tournament to play for this season in being their conference tournament (Capital Beltway) and Hunt has his eyes on that.
“I think overall it was great. Definitely an improvement from last year. I think I became a better player and a better leader and I am just proud the way my team helped me grow and the way they let me help them as well.”
After leading his team last night to a win over Bishop Walsh, he picked up an offer from Wagner.
“Their coaching staff is real cool. They have come to see me a couple of times and I am enjoying the message they are saying to me.”
Niagara is another school staying in contact with him and their coach, Greg Paulus, coached a player that Hunt likes to watch.
“It was great seeing Coach Paulus and it was cool hearing him say he coached D’Angelo Russell so it was really exciting to hear and I thank him for coming all this way for coming to see me play.”
One local school is keeping ties on Hunt and he spoke highly of them.
“UMBC is a great school and we played New Hope up there a couple weeks ago and the facility is beautiful. The coaches are talking to me a little bit.”
