Reason for the Ranking (Top 195)
The strange, frustrating end to the 2019-2020 basketball season, if in fact it is the end, affords @PrepHoopsTN time to reconsider and revise. Time to revisit the Class of 2020 rankings and adjust to account for the player’s growth and stagnation. Rankings are subjective. Why did we rank these guys? Why are they at this spot? Take a look at several Class of 2020 prospects and learn a little about their reputation.

The following players are now ranked in the Top 200 statewide (LEFT-new rank).
#190 Mason Wyatt Mason Wyatt 6'4" | SF Cumberland County | 2020 State TN (Cumberland County)
Nimble. Good wind (endurance). Mason Wyatt Mason Wyatt 6'4" | SF Cumberland County | 2020 State TN was among the best players in District 7-AA. Wyatt consistently led CCHS in scoring and helped the Jets advance to the regional semifinals. Further, Wyatt’s Jets coasted through the regular season in 7-AA with an 8-0 record. What does Wyatt do well? He is an inside-outside threat. Wyatt’s feet are wonderful. Crafty and clever with the dribble in the open floor, Wyatt is surprisingly agile at 6-foot-4. His explosion laterally is better than his hops. Wyatt doesn’t really play above the rim. The guile in the halfcourt helps him create separation from similarly speedy defenders. Wyatt utilizes many tricks (pump fakes, jab steps, stop-and-go). This is his first time ranked in the PrepHoopsTN Top 200 as he certainly impressed during his senior season.
#191 Nathan Foutch Nathan Foutch 6'0" | PG Nolensville | 2020 State TN (Nolensville)
Highest motor. Gritty. Defends with purpose. Nathan is all in on the sport of basketball. It is passion rather than a hobby for Nathan Foutch Nathan Foutch 6'0" | PG Nolensville | 2020 State TN . Nolensville had a better 2018-2019 and Foutch was important to that season. Then-head coach Wes Lambert directed my attention to Foutch way back in June 2018 while Foutch was playing alongside the famous Nate Bloedorn. Foutch gets after it on both ends. True competitor.
#192 Laderron Freeman Laderron Freeman 6'2" | PG Brainerd | 2020 State TN (Brainerd)
Missed much of the season with injury. Brainerd advanced to the state tournament in 2019 thanks to Freeman’s scoring prowess. Double-double machine when healthy.
#193 Taggart Patterson Taggart Patterson 6'5" | PF JPII | 2020 State TN (JP II)
Soft touch. Decent court vision. Taggart Patterson Taggart Patterson 6'5" | PF JPII | 2020 State TN was selected to play in the Nashville Legends All-Star Game (postponed) in late March thanks to his patience and steadiness 10′ and in.
#194 Ned Freeland Ned Freeland 6'3" | SG MBA | 2020 State TN (M.B.A.)
Exceptional student. Wonderful teammate. Inspires effort from teammates. Rebounds with purpose. Technically sound.
Great young men!
So proud of @ned_freeland!
Eagle Scout, @MBAFootball player, @pennfootball commit, @MBABigRedBball and @UpwardStarsTN basketball player, great student, and even better young man! So proud of him!— Sam Moran Jr (@SammoranJr) March 1, 2020
Ned will play football for Penn University. He is an offensive lineman built like Juggernaut of X-Men fame. At the high school level he was a significant piece on a MBA team that really took off in the last year and looks to be outstanding next year. Their underclassmen stars are wonderful.
