Program Preview: The Work Foundation
The spring is almost here! That means the Prep Hoops Circuit is just around the corner! It is time for us to start previewing the teams participating on the circuit and talking to their directors.
We caught up with Kurtis Ellison of The Work Foundation to discuss their upcoming season! Check out what he had to say!
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
We played on the circuit last year and it was good. I am hoping Prep Hoops can provide us with a better opportunity for exposure knowing the caliber of players we will have returning from last year.
What is the goal of your program for 2020?
The goal of my program is to continue to provide an opportunity for youth to be exposed to college opportunities. We would like to put our student athletes in position to receive scholarship offers to play at the next level. We want to provide a safe haven for all participants.
What is your program’s mission each year?
Our Mission is to serve student athletes in underserved communities by providing them with resources and opportunities to prepare them for academic and athletic success in college and beyond. We believe sports can be used as a catapult to propel at-risk youth in a positive direction.
