The Stanco Stampede was started 10 years ago with the mission to help boys and girls develop fundamentally sound skills and (create) exposure opportunities. “We named our program StanCo in short for Stanislaus County and Stampede because of all of the farming community around us.” “We have 4 directors All who have played college (basketball).” “We currently have a DI female playing at UOP, a male athlete playing pro overseas and several DII and DIII current players active.” “The goal of the program every year is to mentor, develop, and bring young athletes exposure.” “Our 2020 goal is to have all members on the 17U team on track to play ball at the next level.”- Undrae Walker

Players to Watch:
Cameron Walker 5’9 PG Turlock 2021 – Shifty PG good at P&R basketball. Willing passer that see’s the floor exceptionally well. Walker is a volume 3pt shooter, taking just under 6 per game. He finished the season as the leading scorer for Turlock averaging over 13 per night.
Robert Smid 6’3 SG Atwater 2021 – Good two-way player that finishes well in transition. He has a knack for the ball and is an underrated R&J athlete. Smid did it all for Atwater this season, leading the team in scoring and rebounding.
Jonah Norman 6’2 SG Oakdale 2021 – High IQ player with good instincts. Norman has quick hands and loves to play the passing lanes. He has the ability to shoot it and finish around the basket on drives.
Sleeper:
Josiah Frank 5’11 PG Pitman 2021 – Frank may be one of the more intriguing prospects I’ve seen on film. Shooter! He is consistent in his ability to knock down open shots, but what makes him so intriguing is his ability to make tough ones. Frank can shoot it off the move, off the bounce or off balance. Averaged over 20 points a game this season for Pitman.
