That all of our guys are high academic (guys) and we require all of our players to carry a 3.0 GPA”. – John Ortega HC

Players to Watch:
Kiran Oliver 6’4 SG Phoenix Prep 2021 – The explosive combo guard holds offers from ASU, Portland St, and Nevada.
John Solomon 6’8 PF Desert Vista 2021 – Solomon is a long athletic forward who holds offers from Nevada, New Mexico, Grand Canyon, and South Dakota.
Brett Hardt jr 6’4 PG Rancho Solano Prep 2021 – On a team full of high academic guys, Hardt is perhaps the highest. He has received interest from several Ivy League schools. He currently has offers from Idaho St, and UC – Santa Barbara.
Matur Dhal 6’11 PF Phoenix Prep 2021 – A 6’11 Post from Sudan, Dhal is another high academic player for the program. A rim protector. He has offers from Cal Poly UC Riverside, and Nevada.
Sleeper
Max Marleje 6’4 SG Arcadia 2021 – The lefty is a true sleeper. A good athlete, whom coach Ortega describes as “elbows above the rim”. Marleje can shoot the lights out. He has an offer from GCU where his dad is the Head coach, however, “people are starting to realize that he can play at a higher level” -JO. Marleje missed last season because of a knee injury.
