Mason Dopirak — Manitowoc Lincoln — SG
This AAU season, Dopirak played on a Wisconsin Playground Club team that featured some of Wisconsin’s best prospects. Because of this, the Manitowoc Lincoln guard didn’t always get the chance to show his true talents.
Well, now we all know what Dopirak is capable of.
The 6-foot-1 guard scored 43 on Thursday to lead ML to an 81-62 win over Green Bay Preble.
Jacob Ognacevic — Sheboygan Lutheran — PF
Say whatever you want about the competition that Ognacevic matches up against, but the Valparaiso commit dominates like no other player in the state.
On February 27th, Ognacevic dropped 50 points in his final regular-season game at Sheboygan Lutheran.
With the 6-foot-8 power forward steering the ship, Lutheran will once again be favorites to hoist the D5 Gold Ball.
Jordan Johnson — Elkhorn — PG
Johnson was recently featured as a ‘biggest riser’ in Prep Hoops Wisconsin’s update of the 2021 class rankings. The Elkhorn guard is now ranked as the 25th best prospect in the class.
Johnson continued his hot play this week, tallying 38 points for Elkhorn in a victory over Union Grove.
Adam Larson — Fenimore — SF
Larson is one of the more intriguing prospects in Wisconsin. The small forward has a long and wiry frame, which he uses to his advantage of both sides of the court.
He showed promise during his junior season, but Larson took it to another level in the season’s final regular-season game. He scored 37 points in a win over Iowa-Grant on Thursday.
Honorable Mentions:
Carson Smith — Sussex Hamilton — SG
Smith had a phenomenal senior night, scoring 30 points on five made three-point shots. The Sussex Hamilton guard will need to continue playing well if the Chargers are going to make a run to Madison.
JaKobe Thompson — Racine Case — PG
Racine Case got beat up pretty bad when it took on Sussex Hamilton, but Thompson had a great game. The point guard dropped 30 points and showed what he can do on the offensive end of the court.
