It’s only up from here for Johnson. He finished an outstanding freshman as his team’s scoring and assists leader as he scored 16 points-a-game and added 3.5 assists. He also shot over 44 percent on 3-point attempts, indeed a stellar mark for a rookie. His exceptional debut season earned him our Newcomer of the Year award earlier this week.
Rickey Hunt | PG | Millwood
Hunt was terrific as a contributor in the Falcons’ attack. He shot the ball well but was reluctant to take a high volume of shots. Rather, he shared the ball well and was a central catalyst in Millwood’s altruistic offensive attack that involved a number of potential scorers. Athletically, Hunt is one of the most promising prospects. He already has impressive strength and speed for a freshman.
Parker Friedrichsen | SG | Bixby
Friedrichsen quietly posted exceptional numbers in his freshman year. He posted 16.5 PPG on 40-percent shooting from beyond the arch; he also included 4 assists-a-night and 85-percent shooting from the charity stripe. Friedrichsen has, if anybody, the best chance to become the next Trey Phipps Trey Phipps 6'1" | PG Booker T. Washington | 2020 State #171 Nation OK -type of player. The trajectory of his career will be interesting following an outstanding first quarter.
Jacobe Johnson | SG | Mustang
Johnson could pan out to be one of the best all-around guards in teh state. His first year was a terrific start to his career, as he helped Mustang to three wins against ranked opponents. In a loss to top-ranked Southmoore, Johnson battled to score 25 points. Weeks later, Johnson notched a 34-point night against Norman.
Luke Hasz | SG | Bixby
Hasz, despite missing a few games for injury, had multiple big performances en route to 10 PPG and 7.5 RPG before his injury. That level of play warranted a spot on the list. Hasz is a legitimate scoring prospect, showcasing the ability to score at at least two levels and a few signs that he can develop his back-to-the-bucket scoring.
