PHC Program Preview: Quad City High School Prep
The spring is almost here! That means the Prep Hoops Circuit is just around the corner! It is time for us to start previewing the teams participating on the circuit and talking to their directors.
We caught up with Justin Holliday of the Quad City High School Prep to discuss their upcoming season! Check out what he had to say!
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
For the coverage and exposure. Great quality events and ran great! Love that you are covered by so many coaches and writers, that you don’t need parent volunteers to run clocks or book, all your events are 4 game guarantees (when you have parents traveling the distances 4 games really make it important for all the players and parents).
What is the goal of your program for 2020?
To get our kids in front of coaches and writers as much as possible. Everyone all wants Division 1 players, but the reality of the situation is that there a lot of Division 2, 3, NAIA and JUCO options too. And if we can get kids placed into all the levels then the hard work and the money that our parents and players put out may eventually help them get some of their college paid for! That’s the way we feel that a class program should be built and run!
What is your program’s mission each year?
Since the QC Elite and the Peoria Irish merger to Mid-Pro we feel that this was the perfect time for us to start this program. We want to put out the best exposure program that gets our players in front of coaches and writers every year. Teaming up with one of the newest and top of line facilities as the TBK Bank Sports Plex we hope to also bring tournaments to the Quad City area too. We think this could be the perfect new hub for Midwest AAU! That is what we want to help build along with our program as a whole. Our biggest mission is we are not selling hoop dreams and trying to make money from this. At the end of the day we want to be able to look the kids and the families that represent us knowing that we gave them every opportunity by putting them in front of Coaches of all levels and help them get to the next level and ultimately get financial help for college. So that their investment in AAU turns into future financial help for their college years. Most importantly we are making, and paying for all of our coaches to be USA and NCAA certified with SafeSport background checks for the assured safety and piece of mind for our families. With the Barnstormers fiasco we want our players and parents to know that they are safe and protected!
What events will you be part of?
Council Bluffs, Chicago, Battle at the Lakes, Show Me Show Down, and Indy Finals.
