After averaging 11 PPG in the regular season, the 5-foot-11-inch point guard turned up the heat for the Wolverines in the big dance, helping Garber to its second Gold Ball after a 23-4 season.
BEST MOMENT: Bennett notched 17 points as the Wolverines edged past Arapaho-Butler in double-overtime for the State Title. With seconds remaining in the first overtime, score tied, Bennett swiped and stole an inbounds pass, took the ball down-floor and tossed a lob for the Wolverines to take the lead. Minutes later in the second overtime, Bennett hit a pair of free throws to put the game out of reach for the Indians.
Co-MVP: Taye Sullivan Taye Sullivan 6'3" | SG Enid | 2022 State OK | So. | Garber
[player_tooltip player_id="955399" first="Taye" last="Sullivan"]Sullivan led the Gold-Ball winning Wolverines in scoring with 15 PPG. The underclassmen was instrumental for the Wolverines all year, including his contributions in the T.of.C, where he led the way for his team with 11 PPG.
BEST MOMENT: Sullivan scored 17 points in the State Final, battling Arapaho-Butler with confidence unprecedented for a second-year player as the Wolverines won their second title in school history in a 53-51 2OT win.
Jace Edelen | Sr. | Arapaho-Butler
The 6-foot-4-inch small forward led the Indians in scoring with 18 PPG. His shining moment came in the semifinal game when he scored the first nine points of the game to put Stuart in a hole. He finished that game with 21 points and eight boards as the Indians escaped the Hornets. The following night, he contributed 14 points in the State Final.
Tyson Eastwood Tyson Eastwood 6'2" | CG Fort Cobb-Broxton | 2021 State OK | Jr. | Fort-Cobb Broxton
Eastwood’s junior season concluded in the State Quarterfinal game; inheriting the leading scorer role in one of the most historic programs in Oklahoma small-school history, the one-time State Champion and one-time Silver-Ball winner scored 20.7 PPG this year.
Hayden Workman | Sr. | Quinton
The senior led the way for No. 20 Quinton to reach the State Tournament for just its second appearance in school history. Scoring 17.4 points-a-night, Workman led the underdog Savages to a 22-5 finish.
