In this article PH awards the player of the year and the 1st, and 2nd team members of the Nevada All-Sophmore team. Note: This team only includes players that played Varsity during the 2019-20 season.
POY: Milos Uzan Milos Uzan 6'4" | PG Dream City Christian | 2022 State #60 Nation AZ 6’3 PG Desert Pines (#1) 17ppg 5 rpg 5apg 2spg (featured image) – Leader, floor general for the 4A state runner ups. Uzan has elevated himself into a high major prospect receiving an offer from UCLA along the way. He’s the prototypical PG who can dominate a game with his passing and IQ.
1st Team
Joshua Jefferson Joshua Jefferson 6'8" | PF Liberty | 2022 State #158 Nation NV 6’6 PF Liberty (#3) – Easy option. Jefferson was a dominant #2 option for the Patriots this season. Good hands, great feet.
Jaden Westwood Jaden Westwood 6'1" | CG Piute | 2022 UT 6’9 PF Coronado (#2) – Kohler uses timing and positional defense to be one of the best rim protectors in the state.
Donavon Webster Donavon Webster 6'4" | SG Cheyenne | 2022 State NV 6’4 SG Cheyenne (#9)10ppg – Good run and jump athlete that can score in transition and knock down threes.
Tavionte Jackson Tavionte Jackson 6'1" | PG Las Vegas | 2022 NV 6’0 PG Las Vegas (#6) 17ppg 7rpg 3apg 2spg – Jackson is just a dog, whose stock is rising. Raised his game to another level this season increasing his scoring average by 5, and his rebounding by 4 per game.
Michael Klekas Michael Klekas 6'3" | SF Elko | 2022 State NV 6’3 SF Elko (#10) 24ppg 11rpg – Highly skilled versatile wing. Was the unquestioned stud for the 3A runner ups.
2nd Team
Parsa Hadjighasemi Parsa Hadjighasemi 6'4" | CG Carson | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG Carson 13ppg 4rpg – Hadjighasemi is a knockdown shooter that can change the scoreboard. He finished with 16 games in double digits last season.
Jamir Stephens Jamir Stephens 6'1" | CG Desert Pines | 2022 State NV 6’1 PG Desert Pines (#11) 5ppg 3rpg – His impact was more than numbers. Stephens was a good perimeter defender, who allowed no drop off in production when DP went to the bench.
Andrick Santillan Andrick Santillan 6'4" | SG Cheyenne | 2022 State NV 6’4 SG Cheyenne (#5) 7.4ppg – Unselfish wing that can shoot it from 3 and set up teammates. Santilan is part of a talented young trio for the Desert Shields.
Sylis Gray Sylis Gray 6'3" | SG Bonanza | 2022 State NV 6’3 SF Clark (#15) – Good two-way player that can score from multiple levels.
Torak TT Valosek Torak TT Valosek 6'4" | CG Incline | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG Incline (#17) 20ppg 4apg 7rpg 3spg – Hard driving power guard Valosek was perhaps the best 2A player in the state leading Incline to a runner up finish.
